Review: COLD FEAR

Hello fellow gamers,
Just got done with Cold Fear and I really have to say that I really enjoyed this game. They are thinking about making this game into a movie and I feel that they wouldn't have to change the formula that much to make it a great movie! This game will be compared to the Resident Evil series so lets get the comparison out of the way now shall we:)
Cold Fear is a breath of fresh air to this genre. Resident Evil 4 has changed the formula up but to be stranded on a Russian cargo ship is just a really great idea and having to deal with the ship rocking back and forth makes me wonder if someone can get sea sickness playing this game? I loved the feeling and authenticity of having to deal with the movement when trying to shoot someone and having to avoid cargo swaying etc. The biggest difference in my opinion between these two games is the zombies move really fast and they shoot or use melee weapons to try to kill you! Hell even when you shoot their heads off they still are swinging at ya so be careful and not get stuck in a corner!
The length of Cold Fear is just about right. It never got boring and the creatures are unique and are fun to take on. Now with the negative....

I really hate the fact that you can't quick save in the game. I really hate knowing that I have to be so careful on everything and not being able to really explore areas due to not wanting to get killed and do it all over again! The audio had a glitch where sometimes the rain would be coming down but would not be heard so it took away from the mood that DarkWorks was trying to achieve.

Cold Fear is a great game and if you like this genre you will really enjoy this game. For the first survival game from DarkWorks this is an excellent start and I hope that a sequel is in the works!

pros
1. Audio and graphics are done very nicely and set the mood nicely
2. Characters are interesting and you want to know whats going on in the story
3. Puzzles are common sense and are not frustrating
4. The action sequences were very nice and will have you saying "Run Tom Run!"
5. The Russian Cargo ship is a unique place and make sure you bring your little bag when you get sea sickness:)

cons
1. Having quick save really would've been nice
2. Audio glitch of the rain coming down but sometimes not able to hear it looses the effect that DarkWorks was trying to achieve

Great news! not only are we going to have this baby Monday July 10,2006 but look at how cool this collectors edition looks:) You also get a download to get the soundtrack to the game which I am a fanatic when it comes to gaming soundtracks. What would really be nice is when you pre-order the game you get a free run of MultiPrey:) I believe that the maximum players to a server will be 8 and I feel that anymore would just be a mess. I know that most people say "confusing mess" but with all the portals and you saying to yourself am I up, down, or sideways I feel that it is just a given that we all will be confused but will have big ass smiles on our faces!!! Readers let me know if you want to hook up and have a friendly match!!! Or if you have servers let me know cause it will be my honor to hook up and play with all of ya!! News on PS3

PlayStation 3 is expected to sell for about $399 in the U.S.

console will come standard with a 60GB, non-removable hard drive.

PSO and PS2 games will run on the PlayStation 3 in 720, 1080i and 1080p. GT4 1080I kick butt.

First, all games will come in Blu-ray Disc media and there won’t be regional lockouts. Second, the launch line-up, as well as the final design for the controller, will be revealed at next month’s E3 expo.

I have been under the weather and during this time I have been playing the 2nd of a game I beat along time ago. Kingdom Hearts 2. I have to say that I am impressed by the story line and the complexity of the game. I feel like Lord Natas in Oblivion I disappear for several hours. I have rented it for 5 days and almost 60% done . I enjoy the game but I still do not know why. I am in my 30's and I find it interesting going through these Disney worlds again. I enjoy all the action but also I enjoy the movie clips that explain the story.(Gives my hand a rest.) I don't think $50 is the right price though I would wait for it on sell for $29.99. But I will say it will take me total of about 60 hours on normal setting. The first game took me 40. The music in the game is amazing and again for PS2 graphics are great. The first one I bought when it hit the $19.99 and that was a bargain.

Also for PS2 pokers fans out there look for me in the Stacked tournaments. I will post my name. The game will be out next month and will be the largest community of poker fans ever. There will be poker tournaments with standings and have heard there will be prizes and prize money. Get into the game.

PC,PS2 and Xbox players will be playing together in tournaments. Hope this is not dropped from the plan.

I needed my Star Wars fix.. Jedi Knight 2 Outcast

Hello fellow Jedi,
I remember seeing the demo playing on an Alienware at Best Buy but I never actually played the game:( I started cranking it out and I have just went through my trials to regain my trusty Lightsaber!! I really enjoyed Jedi Academy and I am sure that I will enjoy this one as well. What I think is really cool about this game is that even though it is old the graphics still look pretty sweet! Typing this blog made me wonder whatever happened to the Doom 3 Jedi mod that was supposed to come out? The last that I heard is that they decided to use the Quake 4 engine to make the mod and that was all I heard!!

OBLVION UPDATE: Main Quest is complete and Review

Hello fellow gamers,
Well I just got done with the main quest and I have to say what a great ride it has been! I would like to say congrats to Bethesda for making such a fine game. I have to admit that the ending of the main quest is not at all what I thought was going to happen but the final battle was totally kick ass! One of the biggest questions for me has been answered which was.. "after the main quest is the game over?" well I am happy to report that it just continues like another day after the big battle except I am getting special armor made for me for the fine job of closing all the gates of Oblivion. There are a few more quests that I will be doing but I will not be a nutcase on this game anymore:) When I know that there is an expansion pak coming out then I will work on leveling my character some more. I made a special podcast just for my review of this game but if you want the quick version it is really simple... BUY IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Xbox 360 redesign

Xbox is going through a redesign . Chartered, one of the world's top dedicated semiconductor foundries, has signed an agreement with Microsoft for the manufacturing of the Xbox 360 three-core CPU using a 65-nanometer Silicon-on-Insulator (SOI) semiconductor technology. Production is expected to begin in the first quarter of 2007.

A 65-nanometer manufacturing process refers to the wide of the transistors' gates. A microprocessor is made of transistors, which are, basically, tiny electronic switches. The processor executes a collection of instructions based on whether these switches are on or off. A smaller fabrication process as the one announced today, allows you to have smaller transistors, which results in less expensive and less power-hungry chips; ultimately you get to build the same processor but now it is smaller, cheaper and generates less heat. You know during this redesign they will probably replace the DVD drive with HD-DVD drive and it will be the system they actually wanted to put out in the first place. OBLIVION UPDATE: Closing last gate was really to close for comfort

Hello fellow gamers,
Just got done getting the last part for Martin so he can do the ritual for me to get the Amulet back. I am typing this after closing the last gate and I am relieved and pumped up right now!! Oh was it hard.. to only have 15 minutes to GITRDUN is really sucky! Once you hit the main gate the clock starts ticking and you can't rest at all and you have no freaking idea where to go! I am really pumped with passion right now and I hope that you can capture and saviour this moment with me. The odds were against me to get this last Sigil Stone listen to what I had to do to knock them bastards back to hell!! I was dodging everything they threw at me because you really don't have much time to fight! I sheathed my sword and ran like a MOFO and then I got the Sigil area and you have to lockpick your way in and then I realized I only had 2 lockpicks! Needless to say I got in there and the clock was ticking and ticking and ticking and my health getting lower, lower:) I avoided everyone and touched the Stone and I HAD JUST 20 SECONDS LEFT ON THE CLOCK!! Now I was so excited and handed the Stone to Martin and then my fun really began. Just when I thought I was safe...
In all the other gates I am able to wait and come out during the night because I am a Vampire and proud of it, but on this gate you can't rest and I start burning the moment I get out of gate because the time is only 1:00pm and I take damage all the way until 8:00pm. Here are my reasons I was saying "WTF I am screwed..!!"

1. The gate was to far from town and I couldn't make it in the sun
2. I had no health potions left to get me there and restoration could not keep up
3. No horses are in the area whatsoever
4. I couldn't rest before touching the Sigil stone cause I had only 20 seconds left on the clock and the Draemora were breathing down my neck

I was thinking to myself at this point I can't believe I am screwed because I wanted to be Embraced by the power of the darkside so in a desperate attempt I decided just to try to rest as soon as I get out from touching the stone and I am happy to report that it worked and in honor of the great Serious "Sam" Stone I say "YEEEHAWW!!"
The next stop is getting the amulet and finishing the main quest which will be done this weekend so look for it:)

REVIEW: CONDEMNED CRIMINAL ORIGINS

Hello fellow gamers,
This game was one of the reasons it was hard for me to sell my XBOX 360 but I am really glad that it came out on PC because it is a great title. Monolith have really been making some of the best games lately and have really dialed into making very creepy atmospheres. The sounds that are going on in the game really set the mood as well as the top visuals. Look at the picture on the right.. this is close to the ending of the game in which your going around a farmhouse and this lighted 2x4 is your only source of light. This just makes you feel like your really there. I got the S#@T scared out of me a couple of times that I actually yelled out loud:) In my opinion I actually liked this game better than F.E.A.R due to how original this game really is. The A.I. in this game is really awesome. The character's coming at you really come off as being insane and it really is a treat to watch them kill each other! This game is really worth the money and I hope that Monolith keep this title going with sequels!!!

Pros
1. Sound is just awesome ( wait until you hear noises when you are down in a cellar) FREAKY
2. Visuals are just as awesome as the sound
3. The melee fighting is really cool and never gets old
4. I really like how you have to free yourself from their grip if they get ya
5. The ending boss is one really cool looking "guy"
6. The taser is really cool to see it shock them loonies:)
7. Length of game was just about right, any more and it would lose the appeal
8. I really liked the action being mixed up with forensics

Cons
1. Sometimes you can easily get "lost" in areas a little map would've been nice
2. Anyone using a CRT monitor will have the black bars due to Monolith having just widescreen ratios
3. The game ends:(

Other news Sega might be making portable that is call Hedgehog. The rumor is that it will have a 566MHz Samsung processer and a 128-bit NVidia 3D accelerator. The chipset will be an evolution of the GeForce 3d 4500 with 128MB of RAM. The console will have an LCD screen,with a resolution of 640x360. It will be cartridge base and have USB connections.


World of Warcraft is rumored to be coming to Xbox 360.

OBLIVION UPDATE: TIME A PLENTY, GUESS WHO'S LEVEL 20!!!

I had to do a little poem in honor of DeathofU. I am actually really close to level 21 and I have been burning in the sun!!! ( I guess that's enough poems eh?) What a sad day Shadowmere has went to the glue factory:( In my opinion it is way to hard to keep a horse alive when you are fighting against the law. I feel you should be able to bring your horse back alive for a certain price! I am a higher ranked person in the DarkBrother hood. There is nothing like seeing a ritual being done with everyone in their black robes and of course I have mine!!! I had a crazy experience with one of my DarkBrother hood quests. I had to kill a sorcerer who has been stated as being a real tough S.O.B. to bring down and I was told that I should just sneak and take what is keeping him alive instead of going toe to toe. Well I started sneaking and he saw me and I said to myself sh$#! and went toe to toe with him. I killed him so fast that I thought I didn't get the right guy until the quest board said that I GOTRDUN!!! Now take for granted I did not feed for four days so my vampirism would be at the utlimate level but come on, it was like killing a rat in a sewer. Then I happened to looked at how much I can carry on my body before being encumbered, are you ready for this number?... I can hold 542 pounds of stuff:)
HERE IS SOMETHING FOR MY FRIEND AZRAEL... I have a bow that does 4 different forms of damage including poison and armor depletion. I really wish I could give him this bow because he would be smiling using this baby!!

NeverWinter Nights 2 coming Sept 2006

Just an fyi that NWN2 will be released in Sept and the game is looking great. I just have one problem though.. why would someone stop playing Elders Scroll Oblivion? No offense to BioWare since they make awesome games and I am sure it will be a very solid title. Hey, I really loved Nevewinter Nights but it will be very hard to pry me from Oblivion and the DarkBrother Hood:)

PS3 will be shown in small and controlled groups during E3. It is suppose to have working software. There will not be tons of demo machines to try.

Company out of Japan has made a film that other people can not watch what your playing on your DS. I got one they can make. A film that goes on your PSP or DS that I can actually see the screen on a sunny day.

Codename for next windows after Vista will be Fiji. I think I will be retired in Fiji by the time that makes it to stores.

Microsoft wants ship one million Xbox 360 consoles every month. That should satisfy the current demand in about 2 years. I have asked at stores and now there is already plenty of stock. I am smelling a price drop by November of $100. Well see if I smell what Microsoft got cooking.

Burger King is considering a promotion that offers 3 exclusive BK-branded Xbox 360 games. Each would feature their own characters (in this case, the actual Burger King) in “popular” genres (fighting, action and racing). The action game is apparently similar to Halo, while the fighter combines Street Fighter and Mortal Kombat.

Oblivion 37 hours and still going:)

Hello fellow gamers,
Oblivion is just awesome but you know that already right?? But I have met the funniest Orc ever in my family of the DarkBrother hood and who by the way has the coolest Axe in the world so far. His name is GOGRON GRO-BOHROG and more on him in just a bit. As stated above I have just about 37 hours and this is just some of my accomplishments.. I am a silencer for the DarkBrother hood and I only speak to the black hand now! To show the loyalty and love to me the Black Hand gave me a horse named SHADOWMERE that reminds me of the Headless Horseman's mare. It has the red eyes and a skull and crossbones medallion on his forehead. I am really lucky that I didn't buy a horse since they run about $5000.00 for the best mare and I can't imagine what SHADOWMERE would cost someone because this horse is way beyond any horse I have seen. some quick facts... I have $14,148 dollars to my name, I have 3 sets of my light armor just in case I cant repair one, my strength is over 100, I am level 17, I have some of the most exotic swords that I have seen in the game and the most devastating so far. I have one sword that everytime it hits you it takes 100 points away from your armor as well as your magicka. I really can't say how I have gotten them since I do not want to spoil someones game who decides to be a DarkBrother Hood family member and a follower of Sithis:) Now more on the Orc that is in my family. Make sure you talk to him about rumors cause he is really funny here are just a few that were awesome!

1. "Don't sneak in there and poison him where's the fun in that?" "Just go in there and stab him!"
2. "Hey, I don't like to tell stories but TELAENDRIAL and me you know..don't believe me?.. I have her undergarments to prove it!!"

Elders Scroll Oblivion: I want to be a Vampire (and I am)

Hello fellow gamers,
I just can't stop playing this game. I am so impressed with this game and the only thing that impresses me more is how cool it is to be a vampire. I actually did not get embraced by the leader of the DarkBrother hood but contacted the disease in a quest. What is really unique about this is that every day that you go without feeding you have more intense nightmares and loose your "human side" and sunlight burns your body! Lord Natas is at level 15 and when he jumps it really reminds me so much of playing UT2004 with low gravity:) How high can I jump you ask? How about in some cases I am able to jump on someones roof and then be able to jump roof to roof for satans sake! I went 2 days without feeding and I could barely move in daylight which really shows how much of a pain in the ass it really can be just to travel by night. The first feed was really cool because I broke in to a couples house and fed on the wife as the husband layed next to her. This game is everything I was hoping for in Vampire Bloodlines and beyond. Being a Vamp has some really cool features especially having "night eyes". I am able to see any life form and also can see everything clearly in the dark which means goodbye to torches. I got tired of going back and forth with a torch and weapon and I really started having flashbacks that I was playing Doom 3 again!

couple more cool points about the game so far...
1. I am at level 83 in strength and now when I am walking people say " man look at the muscles you got"
2. I really enjoy going into Oblivion because you really get some neat stuff ( I have closed 6 of them)
3. The DarkBrother Hood kicks major ass
4. speaking of the word "ass" someone in the game called another character " you're just a horse's ass" and I died laughing
5. One spirit wanted me to put a spell on someone which basically took her clothes off and all she had on was her bra and panties:)
6. In the arena I am fighting Minotaurs and bears Oh My.. (I have beaten 2 Mins and 1 bear at the same time)

Tomb Raider US delayed because of nipples.

THE US launch of Tomb Raider: Legend has been delayed because a couple of scenes accidentally had a pair of breasts in the background.

Apparently the game contains a chapter set in Tokyo, where several women are dancing in the distance. The animators had initially modeled all the women naked, so they could simply drape different dresses around them later. For the sake of completeness they gave them nipples, as you do.

Once the graphics were meshed over all was well and the game could be launched. However what the designers hadn’t realised is that some people have special software that can remove meshes to see what is behind them.

After that Grand Theft Auto nude sex patch game desingners are on the run.

Capcom being criminally investigated for Tax Fraud

Osaka based Capcom is currently under criminal investigated by the city’s Tax Bureau for fraud. The company failed to report approximately 5.12 billion yen (US $44 million) over six years. The penalty is a stiff 1.2 billion yen (US $10 million).

Sony media event for E3 will be 2 days before the expo on May 8 at the Sony Entertainment Studios.

Hello fellow gamers,
In case you have not picked up Elders Scroll Oblivion yet I say to you.. what are you waiting for?? I think this could be game of the year easily! Here is a fyi of how my character is doing!

1. I am level 7 and I have joined the DarkBrother Hood.
2. I am grand champion in the arena ( I defeated everyone and now I fight monsters)
3. I stated before that I wanted to work into becoming a true nightwalker and the leader of the DarkBrother Hood is a Vampire(which was really cool when he started talking since you see his canines are huge) who has lived for 300years and If I am worthy he will embrace me with his gift. What was really cool is how demonic our sanctuary is.. I feel like I am home:) The Lord that we worship is named Sithius which I wish was just Sith and hand me a light saber:)

Sony might be looking to make it a kind of “lifestyle server” for your home. What is a lifestyle server exactly? Good question - imagine something like having a PS3 network of friends/websites/information sources/whatever and them being able to be accessed, (as PSM/CVG reports) apparently when the PS3 isn’t even turned on.

PSM also report the following “concrete” features:

• Viewing recorded gameplay footage (including achievements and in-game highlights)
• Viewing your personal video blog (perhaps made using an EyeToy-like camera)
• Sharing of personal videos and photos between friends

Second Sight says not to play this game!!

Hello fellow gamers,
I am sure most of you think by my reviews from games that I will never review a true crappy game but here is one for you! I remember when Codemasters first brought out TimeSplitters and it was kinda of a letdown for me and it seems that they really haven't done much to improve that series as well. Enough on my gripes here are the reasons why I will not waste my time finishing this game.


Cons
1. It just seems like you really don't have control of moving objects or throwing them at someone for that matter.
2. Security guard is kicking me in the gut and I am talking in a normal voice of finding the pass code for the elevator?? lol
3. I just don't have the patience to play this game. Why play this when there are way better games out there??? Play Max Payne 2 again:)

Impressions of Tomb Raider Legend Demo

Hello fellow Crofters,
I finally had sometime to play the demo and I have mixed feelings about the game. First the good news! Crystal Dynamics have really done a great job in bringing Lara back from the dead! She moves very well in the game and the audio and graphics are very nice. The enviroments are beautiful and would be fun to explore. As you might know this game is a lot easier using a gamepad and it was really nice to see that everything worked including the rumbling. Now for the bad.....


I noticed that the camera needs to be tweaked a little more. It seems to me that the camera doesn't keep up with me as much as it should. I really noticed this when you had to jump up and grapple the medallion that was above you. But here is the biggest kick in the face about the demo! Crystal Dynamics have been stating how they wanted to bring her to another level and the first thing I have to do is move crates?? WTF... why wouldn't you show me something "new" instead of shit I've done 20 years ago and throughout all of you Legacy Of Kain games?? Hard core gamers have told you for years that "WE HATE CRATES, WE HATE CRATES!!!" What is next? Mario making an appearance and we go save the blond bitch from Bowser again:)
I would recommend this to the hardcore Croft fans because you got screwed with Angel Of Darkness but for me that $20.00 price tag is looking like my lost treasure!!

360 360 360 everywhere $400 do I dare

Oh no I am rhyming again. Just wanted to tell everyone who does not have a 360 and wants one go to your nearest electronic store and you should have no problem getting one. My friend finally got his at Toys r Us and he said there was tons left. Grab a tag and bring it up front and it is yours. These are the premium units with the HD so get out there and game on. I do recommend purchasing a notebook cooling system or a Nyko air system at Gamestop.They are back ordered but worth getting.
