Review: NeverWinter Nights 2

Hello fellow Knights of the Nine,
This will be by far the hardest review for me to write. I was really looking forward to this game and my friend Azrael is a fanatic on Dungeon and Dragons but is this what we waited 4 years for? Another reason this will be hard for me is the fact that all of my bitching deals with giving spoilers on the game which I don't do in my reviews. I want you to experience the game for yourself but if I have enough feedback from people that say "go for it and tell us" then it would be my honor to vent!!

I am disappointed to say the least with Obsidian. They made K.O.T.O.R. 2 which was a lot better than this game by a land slide. I am not saying this because I am a Sith Lord it is just it really was! My decisions really didn't matter with NWN 2 as much as you are to believe. In the present state of this game the most magical scroll you will need to finish this game is as follows:
Hit the ~ key
type- DebugMode 1
type - dm_god
anyone who can really finish this battle against the King of Shadows without cheating is a gaming god and I will be your squire for the rest of my life!!!

Pros
1. It runs (kinda)
2. Story was good up until Act 3
3. Collectors edition is nice looking but they forgot to add a can of Raid with it.
4. Some scenes were really nice looking
5. Music score was excellent and voice overs were nice
6. Some of the animation made me have Deja Vu of K.O.T.O.R. 2
7. Going against Lorne was the highlight in my opinion.
8. Having the Dragon say "now I am ready to go to Oblivion" I couldn't agree with him more
9. King of Shadows is really cool looking and the Character's in the beginning FMV are in this game!

Cons
1. Is this an RPG or the Sims?? WTF
2. You will have to deck out all of the Characters that you meet which means wasting a lot of gold on these bastards and when you get to the end and see what happens you will smash your monitor! Think I am kidding doncha??? YOU WAIT AND SEE!
4. Frame rates got so bad I thought I was playing Myst.. this engine is ugly and they would've been better off using the engine of K.O.T.O.R. 2.
5. Story is beyond Cliche
6. I have the strongest sword in the world and an average HP against a dragon is 8-12 I use the Magic from the sword and I can drop it in 15 seconds?? If you make a Melee fighter you are f^%ked and this is what I love to play as in games.
7. Why have all these classes when the battles really come down to magic, magic, magic?
8. I have to have a character read a scroll for me to kill the Soul Reavers and this takes awhile do you think I really have the time??
9. A.I. is a joke and you will have to babysit through this whole game
10. I won't even bring up the camera.. shit I just did

Hello gamers, this is the season not to be jolly!

Hello fellow gamers,
I have had the worst luck lately with games. I am starting to lose faith in developers when they rush out games and issue patches before the game is done! Look at the following titles to see what I mean!

Splinter Cell Double Agent: What happened with this game? Sam Fisher is one of the best characters ever created and when I get to the "Shanghai mission" I get the B.S.O.D. every time!! UBISOFT has really f$#@ed up lately especially with Dark Messiah.

D.I.R.T. Origin of the Species: Hey I didn't expect much out of this game in the first place but come on people at least have the code stable enough to get through it WTF!!

Neverwinter Nights 2: I am just about done with this game and I will have a review very soon but I am extremely disappointed with Obsidian. These are the same guys who made Knights of the Old Republic 2 right? They should've just used that engine and drop this new one! I know of one person named Azrael who will not be happy with what I will have to say about this game but I think down deep inside he will know that I speak the truth! There is enough bugs in this game still after 3 patches to just call Orkin in and spray this baby down!

I feel as a gamer that when you plop down your hard earned cash that we should be able to do what we paid to do in the first place.. GAME!! I don't go out and buy a new car and then later find out it doesn't have a gas tank on it do we? I can say that I am just gonna wait a couple of months after releases of certain games for now on because I am not giving them my money just so I can be their beta tester:(

Demo review: Alien Shooter Vengeance

I just got done with this demo and I have to say it was really fun. This game reminds me of shadow grounds but on crack! I have my crosshair on this title when it comes out 1/22/07!

Happy Holidays from Microsoft and news.

If you have purchased an XBox 360 or going to purchase one, the unit is now warranted for 1 year instead of 90 days. This officialy change today. If you have had service done on your unit in the 1 year time you will be getting a check for the repairs within 10 weeks. No contact of Microsoft is needed they are working on getting those checks out. Sony 1 year probably was the motivator.

I recommend Knights of the Nine!

It was really nice to put Oblivion back on my system and give it some more of my life to play through this quest! If you are a fan of the game this is just what you need to get some more leveling accomplished. The story of the Knights Of The Nine is just really cool and the ending was really neat! I hope they bring a real expansion pak out so I can waste my life in the world of Oblivion! It would be really hard to review this quest without spoiling it for you gamers so just play it:)

I have done the Wizard Tower, Vile Lair (which is just like home to me) and just started the main quest of Knights of the Nine. Review: Starship Troopers

Hello fellow Marauders,
I was always excited about this game when it was announced but you know that the game is in trouble when it is released with hardly any publicity. This has always been a good sign that it is just going to take up your hardrive space which you will end up uninstalling at a later time. I found the game for $10.00 and decided to give it a shot.

There is a patch for the game which makes it run a lot smoother than the demos they brought out for the game and to be honest with ya I was having a blast with the game in the beginning, but it really seemed that Stranglite couldn't figure out where to go with this game. This game is fun for the first 5 missions then after that it suffers from the "rinse and repeat" mode.

Pros
1. It runs
2. Love killing the bugs
3. You can get if for $10
4. The beginning movie for Nvidia is hilarious

Cons
1. Graphics on the characters are a joke
2. it ends up being boring
3. graphics do not show off anything for Nvidia graphic cards
4. missions end up being the same
5. The royal bugs at the end are just a royal pain in my a#$
6. did I say the graphics suk ass????

Razer launches new mouse to market!

It is just amazing how fast I post something about Razer and then they send me a e-mail about their new mouse that they are bringing out to the market! Hardware review: Razer Barracuda Headphones

Hello fellow gamers,
The holidays are here which means at least for me I try to find a "unique" present for myself to play around with to aid me in my boredom. I stopped at CompUsa last weekend and saw the Razer headphones for sale. I brought them home and hooked them up and here is my review...

Setting them up was a total breeze and when you plug the USB 2.0 adapter in you see that the ear cups glow blue (btw, I am a sucker for blue lights) as well as the controller that is attached to them. I turned them on and tested them with Quake 4 and I was shocked that bass was m.i.a. on the map Sturmente! So, the next day I brought them back to the store and it is the first time that Razer has let me down. I will be staying with my Zalmans!!

Pros
1. Really nice packaging
2. Blue lights.. blue lightsss... (mosquito heading to the bug zapper)
3. Headphone build was really nice
4. neat concept of being able to plug in and out your microphone attachment

Cons
1. Bass is D.O.A.
2. The headphones do not "breathe" sound like my Zalmans do.
3. The controller is way to heavy to clip on your shirt (cord should just sit on desk)
