I know Lord Natas is a fan and was a beta tester but I have to say it is my disappointment of the year. I know this is a demo but the game does not do anything
revolutionary for me . The suit thing is a good concept for strategy but come on the suit does not last long enough. I was excited about this game I did not know it would be mostly looking at plants,foilage and trees. Im sorry the physics is neat on this game but I have to say the 2 demo maps and the game play of UT3 blew this away for me.

gameplay game ran great. be sure to have a very high end audio card to run 24 hz hd or you will hear distortion in the demo.

Update as of my post the other day. This game is not a true direct x 10 game. Get the same graphics on windows xp changing the settings text file. EA give me a break .
So DX10 is Vista-only? Rubbish. The PC gaming crowd have found a way to enable many of the "DX10-exclusive" graphical touches in EA's Crysis for users running XP, and it doesn't even require a hack. It takes a quick edit of a config file (as in, cutting and pasting ONE LINE), and voilà, you've got pretty much the same pretty sun and water effects as those suckers who forked out for Vista. You can cut and paste a single line of text, right?

PS i wanted to see if it was my machine so I went to youtube and watched ultra 8800 game footage and guess what it looks the same on my machine so I guess it not the machine.

Review: UT 3 Beta Demo

Well another year.. another frag!! What an incredible job Epic has done with the game. The graphics are sweet and I like how the weapons look now. Some of our readers might not have played Unreal before but have played Gears of War, so to sum it for those gamers.. " Take Gears and mix it with some crack and hit enter on your keyboard"! I have never seen Unreal this Unreal before for speed. I played a match with 20 guys in the server and it was just a madhouse. I am a hardcore gamer, but no way could I sustain that level of speed for more than 3 maps. You will be just exhausted because you have to react so fast and shoot perfect to get to the top of the leader board. It is a rush that I have never felt before, shit I thought Quake was fast.... and folks, trust me, I am use to practicing UT 2004 at 200% speed and this is crazier. Conversation with the guys on the server...
"man this game is nuts" my reply " no it's fucking UNREAL!

"lol" about 15 times!

Pros
1. The fastest game I have ever played, if you are not a true "twitch fragger" you should just stick with "chuzzles" cause your ass is gonna get handed!
2. Graphics are great
3. Love the old song (brings back the memories)
4. weapons are very balanced this time around ( bio-rifle is really great)
5. Nice interface for finding servers

Cons
1. DeathofU, did you ever think you would hear that it is "too fast" from me?
2. why can't I change the scoreboard key to the "tab"key?
3. some servers show open slots but click on them and they say they are full. (after refreshing the servers)
4. DarkWalker should not be in Deathmatch

and a special thanks goes out to AlmostHuman and DeathofU for hooking up with me today. For the record, in the first match that I played of my career in UT3 DeathofU drew "First Blood" but we won't talk about what happened after that;)

Review: Halo 3

Hello fellow Spartans,
I know now what it feels like to be run over by a Warthog. I was the first one to get my copy of Halo 3 Legendary and was home by 12:10am! The hype machine has been rolling pretty hard so I sat back awhile to really give an honest review of this game. But first, let's talk about the Legendary edition. I was just amazed how awesome the Spartan helmet looks, it is so cool that it found itself on my center channel speaker on top of my t.v. To be that close to my Lon Chaney, Boris Karloff busts says a lot in my opinion! I have not had enough time to watch all the "exclusive" stuff yet but man is that helmet awesome!!

I did really enjoy the game overall, but I think that it was really compounded by the fact that I had such a blast playing it with my friends and having such a great time at the EB games party. Hooking up with the boys and having Medusa watching me take the first "official" deathmatch game was thrilling to me. I am very fortunate to have a wife who understands what gaming means to me and enjoys seeing me so hyped up and happy like a little boy!

now with the review.....

This is the first game that I can't review without spoiling the game so if you don't wanna know anything stop reading now!! Ok, the countdown..3,2,1...
The title theme of the game has been "finish the fight" and I can say that I hope that Bungie decides to leave this series alone and starts working on something new. There really wasn't anything new in this game and I would sum it up as the first Halo with better graphics and the same level design flaws. Bungie, if you gonna make everything look the same and throw a thousand flood bastards at me couldn't you give me a homing device that pinpoints exactly where Cortana is located? People were bitching about Doom 3 being in the future and not having a flashlight attached to a gun, but how about this folks? I feel that Bungie is really riding on the fact that us gamers had fond memories of finishing the first one with the "Warthog run" but shouldn't we have something new?? It may seem to you that I didn't enjoy the game but you would be wrong.. I was really happy I was there to "finish the fight" just as long as I truly did! Believe.....

Pros

1. Graphics were nice but Gears of War is still champion
2. Sound was top notch and has always been enjoyable
3. A.I. is still great, but after 3 games you know what they are gonna do right?
4. Bungie gave me flashbacks of playing the first Halo which was really cool
5. 16 player co-op on XBOX Live is just an amazing feat!
6. Multiplayer is a blast.. the new maps are fun and great looking
7. It's a great time playing with friends

Cons

1. Game was really short, or was it that after 3 games I just know Bungie?
2. Having everything look the same in the most difficult areas is just stupid
3. Bungie gave me flashbacks of playing the first Halo which really sucked!
4. Cheap ending.. or was it even an ending??

I am really glad the season of gaming is upon us and look at the games coming out! I am in the Crysis Multi Beta right now and sadly I can't type anything yet:( One thing I will say is that IT WILL MEET YOUR EXPECTATIONS!! I really need an RPG to play and I am really looking forward to the "The Witcher" and Hellgate London, both of these games are gonna be perfect for Halloween! Hopefully, I will also get into the Hellgate London beta as well=)

Did you notice that I didn't even bring up the fact that Halo 3 is just a few days away? Well, I will be finishing the fight starting Monday night!!

Review: Bioshock

Hello fellow gamers,
Here is the moment you have been waiting for... did the game meet the heavy expectations that was put on it? and I would say " U bet U'R Ass it did"!!!

Yes, the game has been out for a while now and some of you were probably wondering what the hell happened to me, but this game meant so much to me that I just didn't want to plow through it. I really wanted to spend as much time in Rapture as possible because I love the 40's- 50's era and nothing like living in an underwater "Atlantis" with splicers wanting to kill me for Adam! The other reason that it took me longer on this game was because you have to hack a lot in this game and it slowed down the pacing of the game. I was having Deja-Vu like when I was playing Doom 3 and I had to read every damn PDA and e-mail just to get the codes! This is the ONLY gripe I really had about this game. It is easily contender for the game of the year so PICK IT UP!!!

Pros
1. Presentation is flawless, you are in the 1950's and in the world of Rapture
2. Story is just awesome and I was really sad about the ending
3. If you have an X-Fi soundcard your gonna love this baby!!!!
4. If you have a top dollar gaming machine your gonna just love the graphics
5. Water physics has never been done like this before and that's that!!!
6. Soundtrack is just simply amazing and you can download it on the official Bioshock website
7. The options you do in the game really have an impact on your character
8. Taking down my first "Big Daddy" was just exhilarating
9. When the plane crashed and the fmv stopped I didn't even know that I could move until it said "Dumb ass use your w,a,s,d, will ya:)"

10. How the little sisters played out in this game was just an incredible experience.
11. The game is a mature rating game which is a nice change for once.
12. The splicers were all unique and their A.I. was just amazing!

Cons
1. The hacking was a pain in the ass, how about a plasmid that made it so I never had to hack anything again??
2. I guess some people have been having problems with sound but speaking for myself I never had a problem with anything on this game except that it ends:(

I apologize for the lack of posts lately but I have been sick as a dog the last few weeks! This is gonna be a huge post so here we go!

I broke down and bought a XBOX Elite and overall I am very happy with it. I am very impressed how quiet it is compared to the older models. I have to give Microsoft a "high five" for how easy it was to get up and running. Getting my xbox live account active was nothing and being able to download game demos is really sweet. I downloaded a couple of demos of games that haven't came out on PC yet so I could at least try them out. Medusa was watching me play the demos and the only thing I kept saying was " I can't wait to play it on PC!!" The games for the curious was Blacksite Area 51, Stranglehold, and Timeshift. (Don't get it confused with the timeshit demo that came out last year it has been improved big time). Then I downloaded demos of games that I have on PC to compare them and here are my impressions:
Tiger Woods 2008 is excellent on the 360 and the Pc version is the same P.O.S. we have been playing for years! Splinter Cell: Double Agent was the other game and the 360 is nothing compared to the PC. Sam Fisher was just made to play on a computer!
I am sure some of you are wondering why I would buy a 360 instead of getting the new 9800GTX that will be coming out soon and I have two responses to that question.
1. Sept 25th I will be "finishing the fight" in Halo 3
2. If George Lucas announces Star Wars: Force Unleashed will also be coming out on PC I will force choke him myself personally:)

I have been playing a lot of F.E.A.R. and G.R.A.W. 2 lately and was invited to be in a clan. I accepted the invitation and these guys are some serious gamers. Imagine spending 4 hours on 1 map just working out strategies and working out our positions. We have been working on the map Asylum on F.E.A.R.!! This is the clan that I have been looking for since they are hardcore like myself. The clan is called =ҜÎŊĜ= and we have a open server in TDM. My tag is =ҜÎŊĜ=LORDNATAS and hope to see ya on the server! G.R.A.W. 2 multiplayer is just freaking awesome but it still needs some more balancing though. Cozeman and I have been kicking some major ass in that game and the {SiD} clan is alive and kicking in that game!
I really don't think that UT 3 is going to make it out in November. I just have a bad feeling about it. I will soon be playing a beta of a game you might've heard of called Crysis. I am really excited to get into that multiplayer and mess around with that suit! I will give my impression on the multiplayer as soon as I am in so look for the post here! Well, I think thats enough right now but before I leave I just wanted you to know that Bioshock is completed and review is gonna be posted in about 10 minutes. My wife Medusa came up with a very cool XBOX live gamertag for me so look for SITHNATAS and that would be me, but be gentle cause I am a noob with a gamepad:)

Medal Of Honor Airborne Demo review...

Hello fellow Nazi killers,

I have just put in around 6 hours in BioShock and then I realized that the Medal Of Honor demo is out now. Man, is there gonna be a lot of gaming for this guy for the rest of the year. I have been looking forward to this game since they have reworked the game using the Unreal 3 engine and in the graphic department the game looks great but the A.I. is just plain stupid. If only the terrorists of today were as dumb as the Nazi's of yesterday like in this demo.. jesh..

Pros
1. Give EA credit for trying something new
2. Graphics are really good and the blur vision you get from running is 10x better that it was in Gears Of War
3. The sounds of war gives you a sense of urgency
4. Did I say the graphics look incredible??

Cons
1. A.I. just plain sucks from the Nazi's to my comrades.. nothing like having them "get in my way" and preventing me from shooting.
2. Hit detection is off, I can shoot a nazi's helmet off without zooming, but if I zoom in I can't even hit the guy?? (And no, I haven't been drinking)
3. Demo is really short, is this set up this way to try to hide the A.I.???
4. Gun sounds are on the weak side.
5. Enemies move way to fast, which loses the realism and bullet time is really not necessary in this!

If I was going to judge this game by just the demo I would have to say that I have very mixed feeling about this game. They have improved the system in so many ways but why have mess up the standards of a fps this bad? A.I., hit detection, accuracy, these are just a given by now aren't they??

Hello fellow gamers,
Well, it is almost time to get my twitch finger ready for some great PC gaming that is coming next week. First, we have the world of Rapture which I purchased the Collectors edition because the "Big Daddy" is gonna look great on my desk and the soundtrack is gonna be awesome. I love the 40's, 50's, and I am looking forward to seeing the world of Rapture.

That is not all for next week though, we have a demo coming out of Medal Of Honor: Airborne and man am I looking forward to this game. I still enjoy WW2 games but this is another level and I really can't wait to see the Unreal 3 engine at work!
And killing Nazi's never get boring to me:)

PC gamers do not buy this year.

I have the scoop that will save you guys some money and grief. It is official DirectX
10 rev 1 cards our out 2008. The cards people jumped on too this year will not be compatible. The new cards will be backward compatible. This will increase the graphics capability and will make it like a console. If you want to make a Direct X 10 game it must use all the new capabilities. I like this idea and am excited how PC gaming will be going with this.

The new cards will be released with Vista service pack 1 that will take advantage of this new hardware and finally give the performance and graphics we have hope for in vista.

Update... Guys and Gals never fear your new 8800 GTX will be compatible with the new Direct X 10.1... thanks to Voodoo Extreme for the info and shame on the Inquirer for the wave of bad info!
Microsoft's DirectX lead program manager has set the record straight on reports that DX10.1 will render the current crop of DX10-compatible hardware "obsolete."
Microsoft's Sam Glassenberg told Next-Gen in a phone interview, "DX10.1 fully supports DX10 hardware. No hardware support is being removed....It's strictly a superset. It's basically an update to DX10 that extends the hardware functionality slightly."

He said that the update is similar to what Microsoft did with DX9. "We did make updates to [DX9] that extended the supported feature set.

"All the hardware is still supported, all the games still run, all the features are still there, we've just simply extended the feature set and the lifetime of the API," he said.

At last week's Siggraph graphics conference, Microsoft detailed the Windows Vista-exclusive API (application programming interface) DX10.1.

Reports spread across the web following the DX10.1 announcement, claiming the current array of DX10 graphics cards will become "obsolete" with the introduction of DX10.1.

Glassenberg conceded that "There will be new features [with DX10.1], and those features may be exposed on new hardware, but this is similar to the model that we had with DX9...[except] with DX10.1, we're saying [to developers], 'if you want to support the new features, you have to support all of them [including original DX10 features].'"

Even though DX10.1 will support current DX10 graphics hardware, today's DX10 hardware will not be able to support all of the features of DX10.1, which includes incremental improvements to 3D rendering quality.

But Glassenberg stated, "It's a minor update, so we don't expect any developers to say, 'oh, this game is DX10.1 only.'

"All off the games that are coming out in the next few years will take better and better advantage of current DX10 hardware."

He said Microsoft is simply planning to support upcoming generations of graphics hardware. Glassenberg added that he "has no timeframe" on when this new hardware that supports DX10.1 will be available.

The DX10.1 beta SDK is available to developers despite the fact that there are no DX10.1 cards available yet. The final version of DX10.1 is expected to ship with Vista SP1.

Glassenberg also addressed rumors that DX10--currently exclusive to Vista--would be coming to Microsoft's Windows XP. It seems that DX10's Vista exclusivity is unlikely to change.

"DX10 is built on the new, updated Vista driver model," he said, adding that DX10 takes advantage of the "virtualization and robustness" features of Vista.

Review: Ghost Recon Advanced Warfighter 2

Hello fellow Mitchells,
I just got done with the game and I can assure you that I am exhausted. Never have I played a game this difficult before. I am writing this review for the single player campaign only and not as co-op, because they would be totally different. Looking back at what I actually did in this game makes me wish I would've recorded my playing. I did shots that you just wouldn't believe could be possible. I am really looking forward in seeing my skills against others online. The game is a must buy for someone who wants to feel like they accomplished something or wants to get their ass handed to them:)

Pros
1. Difficult beyond anything you have played before.
2. Story was great
3. Audio top notch
4. I thought the graphics looked great.. what do you expect in a warzone? flowers??
5. Advertising Dodge and Intel was done tastefully
6. Save game is a must in this one!
7. Wanna know how difficult this game is by yourself? If you played Rainbow Six Vegas remember the mission when you are on stage waiting for your sidekick to download off the computer? That only took me 2 tries to accomplish, mission 8 on G.R.A.W. 2 took me 25 attempts!!

Cons
1. A.I. on the sidekicks are better on this game but that's not really saying much.
2. Bugs can hamper your progress. Mission 9 had a bug that when I picked up the Rpg to shoot down the helicopters it was out of ammo.. WTF
3. the ending is a cliffhanger
4. I wish they would go back to the original Ghost Recon when you can "warp" and take control of anyone in your recon. That would be totally kick ass!!!

You really need to play the single player by yourself!

UT3 impressions from Comic- Con

Hello fellow gamers,
I just got done watching the footage from Comic-Con and the game is just looking amazing. Here are my impressions of the game in it's current build...

1. Bouncy bounce is gone (thanks Epic)
2. Weapons seem very balanced ( Quake has been the leader in this dept for years)
3. Redeemer looks sweet (long time to setup, but severe damage is done)
4. The bio-shock rifle actually looks pretty potent this time around
5. I hope that we can still adjust the crosshair to our preference
6. Map is running smooth and the enviroment looks great (got to be running 60 frames)
7. A 2.5 year old computer will run this game {Mr. Bley time to die;)}
8. Seeing and hearing "Killing Spree" brings back some great memories

Well another year of Quakcon is upon us and I feel that it is going to be a very interesting one. The boys from id will be showcasing more of their new engine and we will hear more about the new IP their working on. I will have to admit that Quake 4 is really dead now and I am really pumped to get my hands on some Nali (UT3)!! I have been beta testing Quake Wars and it is going to rock but it's just not the way I like playing.. I love running around and Kill, Kill, Kill!!!:)

Hello gamers news in window front.

Class action law suits are starting to form against the xbox 360 wrecking discs and the red light of death in some states. Save the your disc that are damage Paul tells me you will get something for them in the future.

Note most rental stores when you rent 360 games you have to pay for insurance against this happening and you having to pay for the game.

Direct X 10 is being updated and revamped with service pack 1 for vista. The beta service pack will be out end of year and released beginning of 08. I am told the games performance and quality will be 2-3 times better than what we are seeing now on high end cards. Paul has bad news that there will be change in the next gen video cards to take advantage of this. He informed me that the video card companies are very upset with the current low grade to mid grade cards very poor perfomance of direct x 10 and this update and hardware tweak will fix this issue. So if you have vista or still using XP it sounds like beginning of year is time to buy your next machine.

At this time also HD DVD drives for your pc will be readily available and the new video cards will have the HDCP built in all cards and monitors will have the same.

Also I am told towards the middle or end of next year alot of games will be in HD format for one disc installation. HDDVD will win on this format for PC.

Gears of War: Best on the PC

Hello fellow Raams,
It is really nice to know that we/pc gamers will be getting the best of Gears of War. Having better graphics, DirectX 10, and 5 extra chapters makes me really excited for this baby coming in November. I have gotten close a couple of times of buying an XBOX 360 for this game and Lost Planet but they have both reached the PC. This game should be out sometime in November but this brings up another factor to the equation..UT3!!

I am really shocked that they are bringing both of these games out in November for us PC gamers. Wouldn't they be killing each other in sales? Which would you rather master first? Tough decision eh?? not really cause here is Natas's prediction.
Jeff Morris has always stated that "you will know when we are close to releasing UT 3 because you will see a demo about a month before turning gold" so this is what I see happening with these 2 games.

1. UT3 will have a PC demo in Sept which would "steal" some of the thunder from Quake Wars. This will also mean that the game will be out on PC in October which in turn opens the door for Gears in November.
2. UT3 for PS3 will be the one coming out in November cause is there really anything else to deathmatch with other than Resistance fall of Man??? NOT!!!!
3. Since Halo 3 is only coming out on XBOX 360 there is no competition for UT 3 on PC. I feel that the only reason that UT3 is "exclusive" to PS3 for this year is because no one wants to compete against Halo 3 because everyone including their mother will be finishing the fight Sept. 25!!!!

I feel the only game that can compete with Halo 3 is a little game called Crysis and by looking at how freakn' beautiful it looks is there really any competition???

Review: Shadowgrounds

Hello fellow gamers,
I just got done with one of the best games for the money. It was a great challenge and the ending boss was just great! It has really been awhile since I pumped my fist in the air after a game! (Serious Sam 2 by myself was one..lol). This game is from a company called Frozenbyte and a sequel is in the works. This is the third game in a row that I have started to play with that happening. Do I really have a crystal ball for this? If I started playing Prey will Prey 2 come out? Or can you imagine if I started playing Duke Nukem 3D does that mean Duke Nukem Forever will come out?? Scary thought huh??

Pros
1. This game is a lot of fun. This is old school big time!
2. Corny Sci-fi at its best!
3. Graphics are really good and all the weapons look neat.
4. Ending boss was really a challenge.. It really came down to the last shot for each of us, and to be honest, I thought I wouldn't be the lucky one:)
5. For such a small team they did a great job.
6. I paid $30.00 for this gem and was well worth it, but for $10.00 on Steam it is a STEAL!!
7. I love the corny english translations and the main character is one funny dude. When he starts singing on the Alien ship made me ROFL!

Cons
1. No save anywhere but this wasn't really a problem, but if you don't take out the ending boss back to the start you go:(
2. The story is a little sketchy, maybe the sequel will fill the blanks??
3. Hey, next time just ask us and we will just give you the damn thing back!! (Only by finishing the game will you understand this)

Is It Out Yet? UT 3

Well, my new system is running like a champ but there is one problem though.. Bring on something that pushes this baby will yeah:) This is by far the most powerful computer I have ever owned and I have been going through my games just to see them run! I have been thinking about the world of Unreal so I loaded up Unreal 2 UXMP and guess what..?? it runs(lol) this game had so much potential but when Legend Entertainment bit the dust no support means death. Someone actually made a Mod of this for UT2004 but it just isn't the same. The magic was playing against my close friends.. DeathofU, Azrael, and Almost Human. Speaking of DeathofU, he is really pumped about UT3, and I know when that demo comes out we will be playing all night with that one.

Epic needs to get this game out before Halo 3 because after Sept. 25 the only thing those Xbox gamers are going to be doing is "finishing the fight" and UT 3 will be in the bargain bin a lot sooner than you can imagine.

Retro Review: Soldier Of Fortune 2

Hello fellow Mullins,
Well after all these years I loaded this baby up and actually went through the single player game. This was Cozeman's favorite Multiplayer game for a long time but now since he's putting roughly 45 hours a week in Guild Wars you can say he doesn't play anymore. It is amazing to me that this game worked just perfect on Vista but Quake 4 doesn't?? Well, enough of that on with the review..

I picked this game up when it came out for one thing and one thing only. The violence is by far the most I have seen in a long time. Yeah, ManHunt had violence and so did The Suffering but this is another level. When you use a shotgun you can shoot someone's face right off and hearing the "gurgling" of them chocking on their own blood puts a little smile on my morbid face. I really enjoyed the story and most of the missions were a lot of fun to accomplish but one mission was just way too long and was very tedious. This one particular mission made me feel like I was at work and that never feels good now does it? If you noticed an earlier post that they are making another S.O.F. and it should be out this year. I hope they keep the violence up to this level and that they have John Mullins as a consultant for the game as well. If you are not aware Mr. Mullins was a true Soldier Of Fortune and is one deadly person to deal with. I recommend this game but don't let your little kids play this one:)

Pros

1. Story was good but a little cliche
2. Graphics are ok but were amazing in 2002
3. Audio is really top notch (blood splatter never gets old)
4. Missions are fun (except Mission 7)
5. Killing is Mullins' business and business is good!
6. This game is extremely violent. How many games you know have a violence meter on them?
7. Shooting guys from a helicopter was really fun.
8. Crawling through a war zone was different...
9. Nice wanted poster of the real John Mullins and Raven's patronage to Doom was neat!

Cons
1. Mission 7 started out great but it lost steam halfway through. You should stick with the game because it gets back being great after it though!
2. The A.I. was not very impressive in this game. If you move forward and go back and hide they will come for ya and then just blow their head off!
3. I wanted to kill this guy by my action not by a cutscene...

Hello fellow gamers,
I am going to be throwing a lot of info to you on this post so bear with me. I have to start this out by telling you how impressed I am with my Duo Core's cooling. I really gave it a test and didn't even know it until I opened my case. During the transit home from MPC one of my fan's cable decided to hook on the cpu fan. This thing hasn't been moving and I never got an error or a B.S.O.D.!!! This happened not from MPC but from the transit home. I guess that this is just a friendly reminder that whenever you take your system to a Lan or anything make sure you check to make sure everything is OK before hitting the power button. But kudos to Intel for such an awesome processor, hell, maybe I should make one of those movies on YouTube of me duck taping the fan and putting a raw egg on the thing! The only problem with doing that is that I would be dead before it got hot enough to fry it:)

Vista....

I want to thank the people out there by believing in me and trusting my opinions. I have had some people tell me they upgraded to Vista because of me ranting about it! Thank you, and I assure you that your experience will be great as long as you have newer hardware. now lets talk some tech eh???

1. ForceWare 162.15 is out today. This beta is running really nice and it has fixed my S.T.A.L.K.E.R. problem with the crosshair not being there. I have finally been able to start enjoying the game and what a difference my new machine has done to this game. I have everything decked out and it is just F.R.E.A.K.I.N.G. amazing how this machine eats this game up. This game is one of the reasons why I wanted to upgrade now instead of later and seeing this baby run has really put a smile on my face!

2. I have been installing games to see how many actually run and I have to say that I am really impressed of how many still run on Vista. I have this strange thing that occurs sometimes. I loaded up Soldier Of Fortune 2 and started going through the single player game and today I get home to find out that they are working on S.O.F. 3!! I love the violence in this game and it is hard to believe that years ago this was a very graphic intense game. Vista loves this game.. it actually shows the box art and everything in my game folder.

DIRECT X 10

DeathofU came over to see the new machine and I showed him Cellfactor, F.E.A.R. Combat, Doom 3 and guess what impressed him the most?? Lost Planet running Direct X 10. After watching it he said to me.." well, mine as well get ready to buy a new machine" don't worry DeathofU your XBOX 360 could never touch the power of PC;)

I have some very important information for anyone who wants to take a dive to Vista. I am pleased to announce that I am running Vista Premium now and not XP. My upgrade that I did on my system didn't like XP in fact, it wouldn't load it at all! Vista loaded in 50 seconds and I myself will never look back. Yes there are some issues on somethings BUT my gains are worth the sacrifice. I have pounded out nearly a hundred games in the last 3 years so what else was there to play anyway?? I am very impressed how my system is running and it is by far the most powerful machine I have ever had in my life... but fuck that right??!!! lets see the numbers right???!!!

Hey load up F.E.A.R. deck it out and put res at 1920x1200 add soft shadows and I mean DECK it out to the max (don't cheat) go online on a server with 16 people and record with fraps and let me see you get this!!

if you don't have an X-fi card you have just lost your sound card. Creative is only supporting the X-fi with Vista and to be honest.. how cheap you can pick one up why would you have something else anyway? I will be posting how to get your X-fi working perfect in another blog so keep an eye out!

Coolest thing I have seen so far... drum roll please....
Loading Halo 2 and being able to play within 2 minutes. It finishes loading the files when your actually playing. I really have to commend Microsoft for abandoning having the CD's in the drive. (This is my biggest pet peeve ever) Once you validate your copy you can put it in the closet and let it collect dust! Xbox live on Vista is really a nice add on and bridges the gap between the 360 players and the elites:)
Shadowrun doesn't load like Halo 2 but you also don't need the CD in drive.
Vista loads so much faster than XP and don't worry about frame rate loss from XP I am running ludicrous frames so who cares?!

So how would I rate Vista on a scale from 1 to 5.9?? (Little Vista humor there)
5.5 bring me Crysis in Direct X 10 a picture is worth a thousand words!!

Microsoft, If this is your idea of advancing PC gaming to the masses stick with youR Xbox 360 and leave the FPS to the elite bastards with mouse and keyboard. I would like to start out by saying how impressed I am with F.E.A.R. Combat! It seems that the community has really embraced this game. I have met some really nice guys and boy do I have some stories to tell! A server called PiratesParadise is one of my favorites and while I was playing against "Pirate" he asked me how old I was. As you know I am an old fart so I told him I was 36 and was waiting for the.. "holy crap you old fart" and he replied "ahh your young, I am 48". Now keep in mind this guy is a VERY good player and then he hit me with a bomb. He actually told me that there are 2 guys who play on this server all the time and that one of them is 62 years old and the other guy is 70!! After hearing that the only thing that kept going in my mind was from the dude in UT 2004 when you deck out all the graphic settings and he says "Holy Sh*T"!
There is a clan that is called CEO and these guys are just incredible. Never have I felt like a noob in my life the way these guys make me feel. I was feeling very good about myself and my skills until I met up with these guys. In case you haven't played this game it goes by a unique score system and not just by frags. It subtracts points if you kill yourself and when you get killed etc. So you wanna know how good these guys are...

I got my new PC upgrades today and I am now just waiting for my 8800 GTX to arrive. The 680i motherboard is sweet looking and the Dominator memory is huge.. Medusa was shocked to see the "heat spreaders" so tall! The only thing that I changed is that instead of buying the Qx6800 I went with the dual core 2.67. I would rather wait and get the quad core 2.93 when game makers start utilizing more cores. I am really excited about my upgrades and now a question for my buddies out there who truly know me.
What game will I load up first to drool???

Hello gamers,
Man is there a lot going on and I am really in "Halo Mode". I get tired of not having anyone to play in multiplayer deathmatch so I have been playing Halo on PC. Just check this out and you will see why...

Prey = 3 people
Quake 4 = none
Halo = 3,000 players (yes master chiefs that is THREE THOUSAND)

As you know I have been waiting to see what AMD/ATI had to offer with the R600 and it just can't match the 8800 GTX for performance. I feel that ATI has done a great job for pricing (400 dollars gets you the card and Half-Life 2 episode 2, team fortress 2, and Portal) but I am a performance freak so I have ordered an XFX 8800GTX! I have been doing some homework on the card and it has 2 six pin slots instead of just one like the 7900 GTX. XFX doesn't recommend using a 4 pin to 6 pin adapter so I have to buy a new power supply as well. I have decided to pick up the BFG 650 watt baby because they make great stuff! I also will be upgrading my computer and this is what I will be running in the beginning of June:

Lost Planet Demo.. I have been waiting for this game and got the new Direct X loaded and check the benchmark system out (which is really cool). When I start a game with either using a xbox 360 pad or mouse/keyboard as soon as you hit a fire button it crashes:( I am very confident that they will fix this before it comes out though.

Retro Review: Splinter Cell Pandora Tomorrow

Hello fellow Fishers,
This game was a blast to play.. I really liked the story and the missions were really exciting to do. I picked this up at Compusa for $10.00 and you can't go wrong with that price at all!

Pros

1. Graphics are still good and the sound effects are right on.
2. Missions are all over the place and some get really hairy to accomplish
3. Sam is just one awesome character
4. The ending cut scene was really neat
5. The 8 missions will take you awhile to get through
6. The mission that you have to get in the TV station was one of my favorites as well as the airport one:)

Cons
1. Sometimes I would fire right on someones head and they wouldn't drop, it was like some of the detections were a little off. This will no means hinder your game though.
2. Played one Splinter Cell and you just about played them all..

Hello fellow gamers,
I have been going through Splinter Cell Pandora Tomorrow. I have really enjoyed the game so far and a review will be showing up when I am done. The game that you won't believe I am playing is HALO on PC. I put this back on my machine because no one is playing the following games:

1. Prey ( hardly anyone)
2. Quake 4 ( 1.4 beta= 28 servers)

Halo has around 700+ servers and it was crazy having 16 players in the map "Hang Em High" you spawn and you die:)

Other things on my demented mind:

1. I need UT3 right now!
2. ATI's R600 can't beat the 8800 gtx? (this is the word on the street)
3. Wolfenstein game not until 2008 (f**k)
4. I have a feeling that some games will not make it out this year and Spore is just the beginning of disappointments!
5. Splinter Cell conviction has been announced and boy is Ubisoft taking a chance with this one..
6. Quake Wars is looking really nice but it can't hold a candle to Crysis!!!!!!!

A user posted a link on Digg.com to a line of code on a blog. That line of code allows one to unlock certain copy protection features on an HD DVD. Under order from a Cease and Desist declaration by the AACS, claiming it violates copyright law, Digg administrators removed the posting.

What followed was a growing attempt by Digg users to repost the code while Digg administrators struggled to remove it and ban users who did so. Digg cited its need to operate within the law or face consequences that might topple the company.

Kevin Rose has listened to the people and have decided not to remove this code.

Smarthouse claims that we'll be seeing the next version of Sony's game machine within 18 months, which seems way too soon to us. Upon closer reading, it is.

Despite Smarthouse's "it's a PlayStation 4!" it sounds more like the PS3.5 to us. According to the story, "The device will include the same chipset as the current PS3 but where it will differ from the current model is in the drive bay and in the attachment area. It will also include an extensive software suite for the managing of content being streamed to a TV or Hi Fi source."

Review: Alpha Prime demo

Hello fellow gamers,
I decided to cleanup my download folder on my hardrive and I came across a demo for this game. I really don't remember downloading the demo.. (see what happens when you get older) I started playing it and I liked what I played so far. The beginning of the demo reminds me of Doom 3 when you have to replenish your oxygen so you don't bite the bullet! If you are interested in the game check out the website for the game here

Review: Oblivion Shivering Isles

Hello fellow champions of Cyrodill,

Well I have to say that I was very impressed with this expansion but it is painstaking clear that my character is just to powerful to really to go on. If your character is over level 30 nothing will really challenge you in this game. The game looks fantastic and the story is top notch and will keep you interested to the very end. I have so much armor and weapons that it is really scary.. One of the coolest parts of the game is when you have to take on your shadow to get a part of a staff. This is where I got one of the coolest swords that I have ever seen and the damage it does is ludicrous. I strongly recommend this expansion do to the story and quests! I really enjoyed playing this!!!!

Pros
1. Graphics are awesome
2. Audio is top notch
3. Worthy expansion (15-20 hours)
4. The new worlds are very cool
5. More time in Oblivion is never a bad thing!
6. Quests are unique and fun to do

Cons
1. Not very challenging for someone over level 30. I can carry over 700 pounds and still jump on a roof of a house from ground level.. if this game was only online;)
2. This could've been my last ride in Oblivion unless I they make another expansion pak
3. The toughest quest for me was getting the "Chalice Of Reversal" because it involves taking a poison that makes you lose strength and endurance!

Retro Review: Medal Of Honor Allied Assault

Hello fellow gamers,

I know this game has been out since 2002 but I never actually got around to play it all the way through. I think its kinda bad that I can sit down and finish a game in one setting doncha think? ( Only break was eating and watching a movie with my wife Medusa). I really liked this game but I really feel that Call Of Duty series is just better but I am looking forward to the new Medal Of Honor being done in the Unreal 3 engine:)

DeathofU and I had a blast playing the Multiplayer of this game until they started hacking the shit out of it! My favorite part of this game is mission 6 because it reminded me of playing through the forest in Multi when you can't see anyone:)

Pros
1. Game is very well put together
2. Missions are fun to do and objectives are clear
3. Storming Normandy never gets old!!
4. Sniper rifle is ruthless and the Sniper mission was awesome and challenging

I am really glad that I picked this game up even though I didn't know for sure if it was going to run! Make sure you download the patch before playing since it now has widescreen support.

This game was a blast to play and to snag it for ten bucks is really a bargain. It is Max Payne with a face lift but without the great story!!!

1. Nice graphics
2. Widescreen support
3. Runs great
4. I love bullet time

Cons
1. Short
2. Option of music changes everytime you get to a new save
3. Story is really cliche

GRAW 2 is crashing on most Xbox 360 and some machines are getting the ring of death. Ubisoft was blaming hardware but now the percentage of crashes are so high they are now saying it is the software.

Hello fellow gamers,
Sorry for lack of posts but I knew this was gonna be a busy year for me but it is actually busier than I anticipated! Well, enough of that and lets talk about what's going on in the gaming world. I finally decided to pick up the game El Matador since I love the "Max Payne" style games and I am happy to report that the game is really neat to play. I picked it up at Gamestop for $10.00 and it is well worth it. I feel what really hurt this game is the fact that I couldn't get the demo to work and that made me feel that the game wasn't stable. ( My goal is not to be a beta-tester anymore)You really need to pick up this game and make sure you get the patch and it even has a widescreen option now:)

other things to report

1. Looking forward getting the new XBOX.. man I wish the new Star Wars game was out now
2. S.T.A.L.K.E.R. + 4 years = S.U.C.K. A.S.S.
3. I am starting to get excited about Quake Wars I pre-ordered so I can get the tag LORD NATAS lol!!

Hello fellow Hades lovers,
Wow, what a great ride this expansion has been. It is just amazing what Iron Lore has done with this! I am really glad that they are getting the recognition for what they have accomplished in the "hack and slash" genre. This game is an absolute blast and you really need to pick this one up. It is just amazing how smooth this game runs and no bugs I have noticed throughout this game. This is well worth the time and money and you owe it to yourself to pick this one up!!!!!!
The in game picture IMHO is the hardest boss to take down

Pros
1. The soundtrack is just gorgeous.. the woman singing is just awesome
2. Graphics are just amazing.. going through the passage of hades reminded me of getting to hell on Doom 3. Yes, its that good!!!!
3. The bosses were simply amazing.. nothing like taking Charon on!!!
4. Hades is a true warrior to take down
5. The havok engine never looked better
6. The new scrolls are just great to use ( sky's rage is the best)
7. The quests were all fun to do and they varied them quite well.
8. Getting the "EYE" from the witches was just awesome.

Cons
1. I still had a lot of money left over (around 8 million gold)
2. I don't know if I was lucky building my weapons but I NEVER used anything new and kept with the same weapons from Titan Quest ( I had an average of 410 DPS)

Hardware Review: Razer DeathAdder

Hello fellow gamers,
I have finally got my new mouse from Razer that I pre-ordered December of last year. I have to state that I was irritated to see that you could've bought this mouse at GoGamer for a little while and I had to wait for mine! Razer did keep me in the loop and sent an e-mail stating they were sorry for the delay and that they will be sending me some free swag for the frustrations. I never expected to receive all of this..
hat, wristband, lanyard, and a t-shirt! They are a great company but more importantly they make kick ass mice!

I was using the Copperhead mouse and never has a great mouse been put in the drawer faster than that one. The DeathAdder is just top quality and is meant for the right handed folks. It is heavier and bigger compared to the Copperhead and is built incredible. If you want one of the best gaming mice out there get one of these and you will be very happy with this decision...

Pros
1. Packing is top notch
2. Mouse is Vista compatible ( to bad Vista isn't)
3. Mouse looks awesome and is ready to bite your ass:)
4. Very comfortable for the right hand
5. Software works perfect
6. On the fly sensitivity works perfect for the quick adjustment
7. Took only 3 minutes for me to put the Copperhead in the drawer and will never look back

The patent litigation saga between Sony and Immersion Corporation has at last come to a close. After being sued for $91 million dollars following the DualShock's alleged incorporation of Immersion rumble technology, Sony has paid up and entered into a new business arrangement with its former courtroom nemesis. The GameDaily BIZ report notes that both parties are currently evaluating the possibilities such an agreement would entail for the PlayStation line of products.

As Sony's director of corporate communications puts it, "We are very pleased to have reached a cooperative agreement with Immersion regarding the use of its advanced vibration technology (haptics technology). We look forward to working closely with them as we explore new and innovative ways to utilize this technology in PlayStation products." A future, rumbling version of the Sixaxis remains a distinct possibility and certainly one that could easily be supported by developers in upcoming games -- even if it is a bit last-gen.

Hello fellow gamers,
Well I have been very busy with work and it never helps when you feel under the weather as well:( I have been playing some Call Of Duty 2 multiplayer and it has been a blast. I also have downloaded the Quake 4 1.4 beta patch and there are some really cool mods out there for that already. One server has just railguns but there is different types of them which is really awesome.

I picked up ShadowGrounds finally but haven't had the time to get into the game yet, but I am really looking forward to pounding this one out. I am sure that all of you already know that I play a lot of MultiPrey when there is someone actually playing and I have pretty much been dominating in that one:) it is just awesome and I wish that more people played it!! March Madness is almost upon us and I am not talking about B-Ball but actually the kick ass games that are coming out this month....

Just got the official word that LucasArts have just announced the game that I have been waiting for. It will be called Star Wars: Force Unleashed

here is a quote about the game courtesy of GamesRadar...

The first details of LucasArts' PS3 and Xbox 360 Star Wars project have finally emerged, from the latest issue of Game Informer.

It's called Star Wars: Force Unleashed and takes place between Episode III and Episode IV, when new Sith on the block Darth Vader is out to wipe the galaxy clean of runaway Jedi.

As Vader's apprentice, you're on a secret mission to dive head-first into the forbidden Dark Side of the force, take out the emperor and rule the galaxy as master and apprentice. Awww.

Xbox 360 and PS3 versions are being developed in-house at Lucasarts, while PS2, PSP and DS duties have been outsourced to another, unnamed developer.

George Lucas reportedly has a lot of input in the project, and even helped design some of the characters.

Force Unleashed uses LucasArts' much-touted Eurphoria engine, which calculates environmental damage such as smashing crates in real-time. One given example of the tech is how a tree will either break in two or splinter realistically depending on how you hit it. Likewise, steel will dent appropriately when damaged your fancy Force powers.

And speaking of Force powers, many of the world-bending tricks from the E3 tech demo are present in Force Unleashed, including the "cannon ball"-like force push, with controls presented in a similar vein to the excellent Psi-Ops.

One scene reportedly has you battling Jedi Knight Shaak Ti in the Jedi Temple, after the galaxy-wide order to exterminate the Jedi. There's also the suggestion of being able to control your own pack of Rancors, the gigantic beasties that Jabba the Hutt likes to keep under his control.

But we all know how Star Wars ends so it's going to be a very predictable cock-up for Vadar's Palpatine-trouncing plans, right? LucasArts promises to shake up the Star Wars lore with alternate endings in Unleashed, where the bad guys really can win.

I will be an XBOX 360 owner for this one!!!

Review: Splinter Cell Double Agent

Hello fellow Fishers,
I feel that this game is just a missed opportunity from UbiSoft. The bugs in this game has just totally ruined the experience compared to Chaos Theory. If Double Agent was made with the older game engine it would've been a classic, but I can only recommend this game if you have a very high end computer. Sam Fisher is a lot more clumsy in this game than the previous ones.

Pros
1. Being a Double Agent is cool
2. Graphics are outstanding at times ( China's New Year was just awesome)
3. Audio is topnotch
4. Save anywhere
5. The ending was satisfying and tense
6. Locations were beautiful
7. Breaking through the ice and taking out an enemy was very satisfying

Cons
1. BUGS, BUGS, BUGS!
2. A.I. was not top notch like it used to be
3. Sam felt clumsy instead of a graceful killer

Review: Red Faction 2

The best way to sum up this game is that it is a blast! Never was I bored in this game and if you liked the first one you will love this one even more. What stands out on this game is the non-stop action that you are gonna be dealing with. I think that Outrage games did a great job of making this game and it is just amazing how "confusing" the maps are but you never really get lost. I picked this game up for $10.00 and I suggest you do the same. It was just announced that they will be working on a Red Faction 3 so you can count me in to help the cause...

Pros

1. Weapons are really neat. Everything is here to get the job done!
2. Sci-Fi shooter at its best
3. You use tanks, subs, you name it on this one.
4. Game play was fresh and never got dull.
5. Some of the boss battles were really neat.
6. Graphics are acceptable ( I remember this game bringing my FX 5900 to it's knees)
7. Audio does the job.
8. Double "F" ( f#@king fun)

Cons
1. A.I. is spotty (but I didn't expect it to be F.E.A.R.)
2. Story is on the cliche' side
3. No quick saves
4. Ending could've had more substance

Review: Rainbow Six Vegas

Hello fellow sixers,
This is the first game I have finished this year and what an excellent start of the year it is! I have never played any of the other Rainbow Six games, but I do know that they have changed the formula from the others. This game reminded me of Star Wars Republic Commando a little with the healing of your squad. I wish that your squad mates were able to heal me like they did in Republic Commando and really that is the only complaint I have about this incredible game. There were so many "moments" in this game that it would take me all day to list them here. I am a huge sci-fi shooter fan so for me to get this pumped up on a "real world" game tells you a lot about how I feel about this gem. If you don't pick up this game and play it you are really missing out on a great experience. I feel that this is a beginning of a new genre of F.P.S.

Pros

1. Graphics are just awesome
2. Sound is top notch
3. Control scheme is perfect for this game
4. Totally action packed
5. Nothing like shooting slot machines and seeing them blow up
6. Switching from 1st and 3rd person mode was smooth as hell (Gears of War is gonna be awesome on PC)
7. Having the terrorist swear at me was a classic and is way better than F.E.A.R.
8. Fast roping down on buildings was an exhilarating experience
9. China restaurant and warehouse were some very tense moments

Cons

1. A powerhouse machine is needed
2. Where is widescreen support?
3. Some spots of the A.I. where questionable but overall a great job was done
4. Close to the ending of the game it started becoming a rinse and repeat
5. I wish that my Recon team could heal me... this would've had some really tense moments like Republic Commando did!

DeathofU gaming news and why I have been missing

I am a computer consultant and the last few months have been a train wreck for me. I have researched and been plugging at Windows Vista new digital protection schemes and the new DRM (digital rights management) we will be all dealing with soon. Here is my advice from someone that is shocked by how I see things going and the content providers taking our freedoms.

1. Do not buy a new monitor or video card for at least 6 months. All video cards and monitors even if they say direct X 10 compatiable do not have key codes in them yet to view the next gen content. They are useless save your money.

2. Processors are faster than ever but with the lagging cause by this new AACS protection will possibly ruin next generation PC gaming.
3. You will want to by a machine complete from a respected company and be sure it has been heavenly tested with Vista. The tolerance with this new DRM protection has dropped considerably with hardware working together. Thats right there are going to be more screens of death and alot more resetting of PC.

4. This DRM was the reason for Vista delay. Also they did not use much resources to improve security in this new OS because of the focus on this DRM crap.
4.5 This has pissed off companys that do not need DRM because they are using it for business not entertainment or media. Again these resources should have been used for security of business information and your information.

5. Do not buy any hardware from non mainstream companies. WHY???? Because if a company does not pay for DRM license in a year ect their hardware becomes no longer operatable in machines from a year ago to now.

7. All this control will be in your living room too. Cable box,blu ray,hddvd and more will have this control and use of keys.
8. Hardware will be alot more to make with the new DRM requirements. Remember even if the hardware is never used for the content it must be prepared to protect this content.
9. The bios will check 30 times a second on the motherboard to be sure you are not doing any illegal content pirating. Again this will make the system bog down and I feel make hardware lifespan shorter.

We do not know what part of this AACS and DRM encryption will be used but what has been told by me is that they will bring it on slowly and firmly.

I have been in this business for along time. I would recommend anyone wanting to jump into Vista right away to purchase a closed system notebook installed with Vista by the vendor and has been tested.

I am seeing things going the wrong way in technology. This kind of restrictions and having to go back to the drawing board to work around the restrictions will just hurt us with innovation. I hope that people speak out against this when they deal with these restrictions in their home.

Your warranty is voided if you use generic component cables instead of sony cables.

Rumors are the Xbox 360 premium will become the core for $299 and the HDMI 120 GB will become the Premium.

Hello fellow gamers,
I have been thinking really hard about if I should just upgrade my system or buy a new one. This is the first time in a long time that I really don't know what to do. The problem is do you buy for the future and waste your money (just think 64 bit)or do you go for the big one? The software is looking like it is going to be out at the end of the year and if I just upgrade to dual core (AMD FX 60)and a new card (BFG 8800 GTX)that should be able to take of business this year. I don't think Vista is gonna take off as fast as Microsoft thinks! The one title that looks just amazing for Direct X 10 is Crysis that game looks incredible!! Gamers, how are you going to handle the Vista transition??

According to NPD, the Xbox 360 came out on top across the three next-gen consoles, selling 1.1 million units compared to the Wii's 604,200 and the PS3's 490, 700.

The across-the-board winner for the month though was Nintendo's DS, which sold 1.6 million shiny units, followed by the PS2 which sold a whopping 1.4 million. The PSP came in at a relatively impressive fourth place, stacking up 953, 200 in units sold.

Hello fellow gamers,
I am still waiting for my patch for Splinter Cell Double Agent but I was able to play the Shanghai mission and what a treat that was to play that New Years Day! Some of the guys in the game never saw the fireworks;)

I picked up the game Jaws Unleashed and I am having fun playing this game. I know the graphics suck but it is really cool being the shark going around and just killing people in some pretty sadistic ways. I also have been playing a lot of Quake 4 multi as well as multiPREY!

ATI/AMD will be releasing the RD 600 information very soon and the "red coats" might be back in the lead from what I have heard in the rumors.

The format war between HD-DvD and Blue Ray might be over since they are gonna start making players that play both. That took long huh?? lol

BioShock is looking for a June release and I can't wait to get into the world of Rapture! This is gonna be a great game I can feel it gamers!!!!!!!

Id software is having a mapping contest which reminds me of what Epic did with UT 2004! This is really going to bring out some excellent maps. Speaking of Unreal Tournament I hope we get a demo of UT2k7 soon! I am nervous that it is just gonna be a nicer looking game but I hope Epic proves me wrong (Curse 5 please...)

Review: NeverWinter Nights 2

Hello fellow Knights of the Nine,
This will be by far the hardest review for me to write. I was really looking forward to this game and my friend Azrael is a fanatic on Dungeon and Dragons but is this what we waited 4 years for? Another reason this will be hard for me is the fact that all of my bitching deals with giving spoilers on the game which I don't do in my reviews. I want you to experience the game for yourself but if I have enough feedback from people that say "go for it and tell us" then it would be my honor to vent!!

I am disappointed to say the least with Obsidian. They made K.O.T.O.R. 2 which was a lot better than this game by a land slide. I am not saying this because I am a Sith Lord it is just it really was! My decisions really didn't matter with NWN 2 as much as you are to believe. In the present state of this game the most magical scroll you will need to finish this game is as follows:
Hit the ~ key
type- DebugMode 1
type - dm_god
anyone who can really finish this battle against the King of Shadows without cheating is a gaming god and I will be your squire for the rest of my life!!!

Pros
1. It runs (kinda)
2. Story was good up until Act 3
3. Collectors edition is nice looking but they forgot to add a can of Raid with it.
4. Some scenes were really nice looking
5. Music score was excellent and voice overs were nice
6. Some of the animation made me have Deja Vu of K.O.T.O.R. 2
7. Going against Lorne was the highlight in my opinion.
8. Having the Dragon say "now I am ready to go to Oblivion" I couldn't agree with him more
9. King of Shadows is really cool looking and the Character's in the beginning FMV are in this game!

Cons
1. Is this an RPG or the Sims?? WTF
2. You will have to deck out all of the Characters that you meet which means wasting a lot of gold on these bastards and when you get to the end and see what happens you will smash your monitor! Think I am kidding doncha??? YOU WAIT AND SEE!
4. Frame rates got so bad I thought I was playing Myst.. this engine is ugly and they would've been better off using the engine of K.O.T.O.R. 2.
5. Story is beyond Cliche
6. I have the strongest sword in the world and an average HP against a dragon is 8-12 I use the Magic from the sword and I can drop it in 15 seconds?? If you make a Melee fighter you are f^%ked and this is what I love to play as in games.
7. Why have all these classes when the battles really come down to magic, magic, magic?
8. I have to have a character read a scroll for me to kill the Soul Reavers and this takes awhile do you think I really have the time??
9. A.I. is a joke and you will have to babysit through this whole game
10. I won't even bring up the camera.. shit I just did

Hello fellow gamers,
I have had the worst luck lately with games. I am starting to lose faith in developers when they rush out games and issue patches before the game is done! Look at the following titles to see what I mean!

Splinter Cell Double Agent: What happened with this game? Sam Fisher is one of the best characters ever created and when I get to the "Shanghai mission" I get the B.S.O.D. every time!! UBISOFT has really f$#@ed up lately especially with Dark Messiah.

D.I.R.T. Origin of the Species: Hey I didn't expect much out of this game in the first place but come on people at least have the code stable enough to get through it WTF!!

Neverwinter Nights 2: I am just about done with this game and I will have a review very soon but I am extremely disappointed with Obsidian. These are the same guys who made Knights of the Old Republic 2 right? They should've just used that engine and drop this new one! I know of one person named Azrael who will not be happy with what I will have to say about this game but I think down deep inside he will know that I speak the truth! There is enough bugs in this game still after 3 patches to just call Orkin in and spray this baby down!

I feel as a gamer that when you plop down your hard earned cash that we should be able to do what we paid to do in the first place.. GAME!! I don't go out and buy a new car and then later find out it doesn't have a gas tank on it do we? I can say that I am just gonna wait a couple of months after releases of certain games for now on because I am not giving them my money just so I can be their beta tester:(

If you have purchased an XBox 360 or going to purchase one, the unit is now warranted for 1 year instead of 90 days. This officialy change today. If you have had service done on your unit in the 1 year time you will be getting a check for the repairs within 10 weeks. No contact of Microsoft is needed they are working on getting those checks out. Sony 1 year probably was the motivator.

It was really nice to put Oblivion back on my system and give it some more of my life to play through this quest! If you are a fan of the game this is just what you need to get some more leveling accomplished. The story of the Knights Of The Nine is just really cool and the ending was really neat! I hope they bring a real expansion pak out so I can waste my life in the world of Oblivion! It would be really hard to review this quest without spoiling it for you gamers so just play it:)

Review: Starship Troopers

Hello fellow Marauders,
I was always excited about this game when it was announced but you know that the game is in trouble when it is released with hardly any publicity. This has always been a good sign that it is just going to take up your hardrive space which you will end up uninstalling at a later time. I found the game for $10.00 and decided to give it a shot.

There is a patch for the game which makes it run a lot smoother than the demos they brought out for the game and to be honest with ya I was having a blast with the game in the beginning, but it really seemed that Stranglite couldn't figure out where to go with this game. This game is fun for the first 5 missions then after that it suffers from the "rinse and repeat" mode.

Pros
1. It runs
2. Love killing the bugs
3. You can get if for $10
4. The beginning movie for Nvidia is hilarious

Cons
1. Graphics on the characters are a joke
2. it ends up being boring
3. graphics do not show off anything for Nvidia graphic cards
4. missions end up being the same
5. The royal bugs at the end are just a royal pain in my a#$
6. did I say the graphics suk ass????

Hardware review: Razer Barracuda Headphones

Hello fellow gamers,
The holidays are here which means at least for me I try to find a "unique" present for myself to play around with to aid me in my boredom. I stopped at CompUsa last weekend and saw the Razer headphones for sale. I brought them home and hooked them up and here is my review...

Setting them up was a total breeze and when you plug the USB 2.0 adapter in you see that the ear cups glow blue (btw, I am a sucker for blue lights) as well as the controller that is attached to them. I turned them on and tested them with Quake 4 and I was shocked that bass was m.i.a. on the map Sturmente! So, the next day I brought them back to the store and it is the first time that Razer has let me down. I will be staying with my Zalmans!!

Pros
1. Really nice packaging
2. Blue lights.. blue lightsss... (mosquito heading to the bug zapper)
3. Headphone build was really nice
4. neat concept of being able to plug in and out your microphone attachment

Cons
1. Bass is D.O.A.
2. The headphones do not "breathe" sound like my Zalmans do.
3. The controller is way to heavy to clip on your shirt (cord should just sit on desk)

PS3 does not upgrade 720p to 1080I it downgrades to 480. Do not know if they can fix it. Old HDTV owners 360 only choice.

WII controllers have very tiny string holding strap have had several incidences of tv and windows getting broke.

Sony has sold 125,000 PS3s and the buyers of these have sold them at 40% ratio. Software sales are slumping because of the ebay factor. Unit scratches easy,attract dust like crazy, and needs a software upgrade from the start to even play.
Sony because of poor qty of units are losing game exclusives every week.

There's nothing like a new update for a system; you never know what you're going to get! When I downloaded the version 1.11 update from Sony this morning, I was excited. Would they fix the issue with HD scaling? Or maybe make the browser faster? Or give me a better music player? Oh, the suspense was killing me. Luckily, the update only took a few minutes to download and install, and then I rebooted, and of course for some reason the system didn't recognize my Sixaxis anymore so I had to reconnect with a USB cable—clearly THAT problem hasn't been fixed. Then I looked around to see what wonders were in store for me.

Okay, the Blu-ray playback still looks mangled, so scaling still hasn't been fixed. The browser is still incredibly slow. The store doesn't look or react any differently. No background downloading... Hrm. Time to check the 'Net to see if Sony provided any details on the download.

Nope. Nothing as of this writing. There is an account management tab, so I can add more money to my virtual wallet to spend online without having to go to the store. Is that what the update did?

Sony must sell 30 games per system to break even. I guess that is Sony math.

Review: Dark Messiah Might and Magic

Hello fellow gamers,
I need to start this review out by saying that I have NEVER seen so many bugs in a game that would cause crashes to the desktop like this game! I think the collectors edition could've had a can of Raid in the packaging as well. What really sucks about this is that Arkane studios really had some cool ideas going but the bugs just frustrate you so much that it leaves a bad taste in your mouth! I am a consumer just like all of you and I feel totally cheated out of my money. I could never send out a game to gold status with this many bugs. The only way that I can recommend this game to you out there is to say wait until it is twenty dollars and has at least 2-3 more patches under its belt. I admit I don't know that much about the Might and Magic series but there has to be more enemies to chose from instead of cyclops, dragons, orcs, right??? I would just like to add that I think the Source engine sucks ass.. I think Valve should use a can of Raid on that baby as well.

Pros

1. Really cool making your own sword (melting the bar of metal etc.)
2. Scaling of the environments was fantastic
3. My father was a demon:)
4. My companion had a sexy voice and wanted me to know my "inner self" better:)

Cons

1. Buggy as hell.. call ORKIN
2. Same enemies, I have killed enough Cyclops for the rest of my gaming life
3. I was way too powerful by the time I got to the ending.. I had 15 skill points left just because I wanted to balance the game out some.
4. Source engine sux ass
5. I spent more time watching a load screen than playing
6. Leanne's voice just made me want to kill her (which I did to relieve some stress)
7. I spent $50 bucks for a broken game

Hello fellow gamers,
I just wanted to let everyone know that I am still alive and kicking! I have been training for my new job on days and I am not a "day walker" by any means:) DeathofU left me a v-mail on how many of you at the PS3 launch have heard of us and I just wanted U to know how we really appreciate your support.

Nvidia's new graphic card is just plain awesome but I am starting to think that it is not going to fit in my case! This thing is a beast and I have found out that it is 1-1/2 inches bigger than the 7900 GTX and that card is a tight fit already. I went up to Medusa and asked her how much she loves me and her reply was.."how much is your new Alienware going to cost" so I got it configured up and it is going to cost me around $4400.00 dollars for what I want/need!! I will not be buying this system until sometime in April/May because I am going to have to wait until Windows Vista is stable. I really don't feel like being Microsoft's guinea pig for this new OS!

I have started playing Splinter Cell: Double Agent and I am really liking the game so far it is just depressing that 16:10 wide screen ratio is not available! I have been trying to tweak this game to show 1920x1200 but I haven't had any luck so far. For some reason even though I change the resolution on the Config file it still shows it at 1600x1200. Any of you readers out there have figured this out let me know!!

If you have an older HDTV and it only does 480i,480p and 1080i and you buy a 720p game on PS3 guess what. It downgrades to 480p and not upgrade to 1080i like the Xbox 360.

Those gamers at Bestbuy that started waited for PS3 and WII were escorted by police away from the store and BestBuy have added this sign. 5 days waiting for console and no console and escorted away was it worth it?

Again play some Gears of War and hug your kid.

Trust me a year from now PS3 will be piled up and the software will be a hell of alot better.

Watch the other people go through the experiment of Next Gen? console gaming like what we saw with the 360.

I have had a revelation that I do not understand some gamers anymore? For example the pictures above of the people in Japan in line at the store. I saw the video at youtube and it goes at least 15-20 blocks. In front of the store it says PS3 are sold out go home. This is not only Japan how about my earlier post of people waiting outside at Bestbuy for PS3 in the states.

I would like to say I am confused. I have played the final PS3 and have to say it has about a year or more till it will be next gen software. Right now you have a first generation Xbox 360 with I would have to say a lower graphically software than the Xbox 360 a year ago. I am not saying in a year the PS3 and software vendors will find the full potential of the Cell Processor but definitely what I saw was not next gen.
So back to the lining up lets speak Japan first.

1. are they waiting for the next shipment.
2. I here Japan people have very busy lives????? But they can stay in line for nothing.
3. Get a 360 and the new Dragon game I think you will be far ahead.
4. The signs says sold out trust me the Qty I am hearing they are sold out.
5. PS3 is a year away from hardware and software be true next gen.

I know I have rambled and if anyone can give me any input on waiting for stuff that is not that great or is not or may not be there for you after giving some much time of your life to it? I just do not get it. Some day trust me PS3 will be stacked like pyramids like the 360 are at your near by store. Remember that craziness a year ago about this time.

Couple local Targets have had to shut the PS3 demo in there store down because it shuts down the whole electronic department when run with the other system demo. Sony reps are going to have to hook it to a whole another electrical line to get it to work.

Wow amazing not a good start for Sony.

Wow and ComED is raising rates. I wonder if I can hook a solar panel to it.

Nba Live 07 cancelled for PS3

Genji of the Blade for PS3 gets 6.4. Shallow game play and alright graphics.

Gears of War on Xbox 360 flying off the shelves and some of the best scores on gaming sites I have seen in a while.
