Star Wars Galaxies: S.O.E and loyal players Divided
Lately it seems that this is the biggest news that is going on lately so here is my view on this game that has had more changes to it than any other MMO out there. I will start out this by saying that I am a true "geek Jedi" and love all Star Wars movies and YES even the prequels (except Jar-Jar). Everyone that says George Lucas can't direct go ahead and make your own movie and see if it sells 50 million in one night like Revenge Of The Sith, or for that matter have almost all of your movies in the top 20 sellers of all time list!
S.O.E. needs to wake up and smell the coffee now! You don't alienate your loyal fan base by promising with the Trials Of ObiWan expansion more class enhancements and then strip them all away but nine of them. They changed the whole system into something that is between a fps and a diablo clone and never informed the players at all what they were doing. You know the changes took more than a weekend to do so why not confess that you don't care about your players? I did the 10 day trial and overall it was fun because it was free for me to play. Reasons why I wouldn't pay the fifteen dollar monthly fee are as follows:
1. Game is broken (Jedi are stronger with a blaster than with a melee weapon)
2. Server crashed multiple times on me then I couldn't log back on
3. Why start getting into a game that everyone is abandoning like a bad habit
4. I can't see this game making it this year (The force is weak Luke)
5. History states that If you start liking this game and become level 80 who is to say that S.O.E. won't nerf it on you like they did to their loyal fanbase?
LORD NATAS'S EASY FIX FOR THIS GAME (S.O.E. this advice is free of charge)
Make the game free to play and get money from advertisements in the game. Use the Star Wars environments to sell Star Wars property because it would match perfectly in this game. Sell expansions or extra content to also get more revenue.When a game is in its 3rd year BETA it is easier to swallow knowing that I am not paying for it!
S.O.E. if you don't make the game free may the "FORCE BE WITH YOU" because you will need it!
