600,000 WII sold in US

PS3 does not upgrade 720p to 1080I it downgrades to 480. Do not know if they can fix it. Old HDTV owners 360 only choice.

WII controllers have very tiny string holding strap have had several incidences of tv and windows getting broke.

Sony has sold 125,000 PS3s and the buyers of these have sold them at 40% ratio. Software sales are slumping because of the ebay factor. Unit scratches easy,attract dust like crazy, and needs a software upgrade from the start to even play.
Sony because of poor qty of units are losing game exclusives every week.

There's nothing like a new update for a system; you never know what you're going to get! When I downloaded the version 1.11 update from Sony this morning, I was excited. Would they fix the issue with HD scaling? Or maybe make the browser faster? Or give me a better music player? Oh, the suspense was killing me. Luckily, the update only took a few minutes to download and install, and then I rebooted, and of course for some reason the system didn't recognize my Sixaxis anymore so I had to reconnect with a USB cable—clearly THAT problem hasn't been fixed. Then I looked around to see what wonders were in store for me.

Okay, the Blu-ray playback still looks mangled, so scaling still hasn't been fixed. The browser is still incredibly slow. The store doesn't look or react any differently. No background downloading... Hrm. Time to check the 'Net to see if Sony provided any details on the download.

Nope. Nothing as of this writing. There is an account management tab, so I can add more money to my virtual wallet to spend online without having to go to the store. Is that what the update did?

Review: Dark Messiah Might and Magic

Hello fellow gamers,
I need to start this review out by saying that I have NEVER seen so many bugs in a game that would cause crashes to the desktop like this game! I think the collectors edition could've had a can of Raid in the packaging as well. What really sucks about this is that Arkane studios really had some cool ideas going but the bugs just frustrate you so much that it leaves a bad taste in your mouth! I am a consumer just like all of you and I feel totally cheated out of my money. I could never send out a game to gold status with this many bugs. The only way that I can recommend this game to you out there is to say wait until it is twenty dollars and has at least 2-3 more patches under its belt. I admit I don't know that much about the Might and Magic series but there has to be more enemies to chose from instead of cyclops, dragons, orcs, right??? I would just like to add that I think the Source engine sucks ass.. I think Valve should use a can of Raid on that baby as well.

Pros

1. Really cool making your own sword (melting the bar of metal etc.)
2. Scaling of the environments was fantastic
3. My father was a demon:)
4. My companion had a sexy voice and wanted me to know my "inner self" better:)

Cons

1. Buggy as hell.. call ORKIN
2. Same enemies, I have killed enough Cyclops for the rest of my gaming life
3. I was way too powerful by the time I got to the ending.. I had 15 skill points left just because I wanted to balance the game out some.
4. Source engine sux ass
5. I spent more time watching a load screen than playing
6. Leanne's voice just made me want to kill her (which I did to relieve some stress)
7. I spent $50 bucks for a broken game

LORD NATAS ramblings

Hello fellow gamers,
I just wanted to let everyone know that I am still alive and kicking! I have been training for my new job on days and I am not a "day walker" by any means:) DeathofU left me a v-mail on how many of you at the PS3 launch have heard of us and I just wanted U to know how we really appreciate your support.

Nvidia's new graphic card is just plain awesome but I am starting to think that it is not going to fit in my case! This thing is a beast and I have found out that it is 1-1/2 inches bigger than the 7900 GTX and that card is a tight fit already. I went up to Medusa and asked her how much she loves me and her reply was.."how much is your new Alienware going to cost" so I got it configured up and it is going to cost me around $4400.00 dollars for what I want/need!! I will not be buying this system until sometime in April/May because I am going to have to wait until Windows Vista is stable. I really don't feel like being Microsoft's guinea pig for this new OS!

I have started playing Splinter Cell: Double Agent and I am really liking the game so far it is just depressing that 16:10 wide screen ratio is not available! I have been trying to tweak this game to show 1920x1200 but I haven't had any luck so far. For some reason even though I change the resolution on the Config file it still shows it at 1600x1200. Any of you readers out there have figured this out let me know!!

If you have an older HDTV and it only does 480i,480p and 1080i and you buy a 720p game on PS3 guess what. It downgrades to 480p and not upgrade to 1080i like the Xbox 360.
Wow I love next gen 480 p or what I call a dvd player.

Those gamers at Bestbuy that started waited for PS3 and WII were escorted by police away from the store and BestBuy have added this sign. 5 days waiting for console and no console and escorted away was it worth it?

Again play some Gears of War and hug your kid.

Trust me a year from now PS3 will be piled up and the software will be a hell of alot better.

Watch the other people go through the experiment of Next Gen? console gaming like what we saw with the 360.

I have had a revelation that I do not understand some gamers anymore? For example the pictures above of the people in Japan in line at the store. I saw the video at youtube and it goes at least 15-20 blocks. In front of the store it says PS3 are sold out go home. This is not only Japan how about my earlier post of people waiting outside at Bestbuy for PS3 in the states.

I would like to say I am confused. I have played the final PS3 and have to say it has about a year or more till it will be next gen software. Right now you have a first generation Xbox 360 with I would have to say a lower graphically software than the Xbox 360 a year ago. I am not saying in a year the PS3 and software vendors will find the full potential of the Cell Processor but definitely what I saw was not next gen.
So back to the lining up lets speak Japan first.

1. are they waiting for the next shipment.
2. I here Japan people have very busy lives????? But they can stay in line for nothing.
3. Get a 360 and the new Dragon game I think you will be far ahead.
4. The signs says sold out trust me the Qty I am hearing they are sold out.
5. PS3 is a year away from hardware and software be true next gen.

3. Again after playing the PS3 save your money for a year the software should be much better and price lowered. Trust me on that second part. Thats if Sony is still in the gaming biz.

I know I have rambled and if anyone can give me any input on waiting for stuff that is not that great or is not or may not be there for you after giving some much time of your life to it? I just do not get it. Some day trust me PS3 will be stacked like pyramids like the 360 are at your near by store. Remember that craziness a year ago about this time.

Rumors of PS3 power consumption true.

Couple local Targets have had to shut the PS3 demo in there store down because it shuts down the whole electronic department when run with the other system demo. Sony reps are going to have to hook it to a whole another electrical line to get it to work.

Wow amazing not a good start for Sony.


Wow and ComED is raising rates. I wonder if I can hook a solar panel to it.

Nba Live 07 cancelled for PS3

Genji of the Blade for PS3 gets 6.4. Shallow game play and alright graphics.

Gears of War on Xbox 360 flying off the shelves and some of the best scores on gaming sites I have seen in a while.

Review: Gears Of War

Hello fellow locust killers,
Before I get into the review of this game I want to say how much I have been looking forward seeing the new Unreal 3 engine in action. I NEVER thought that an engine could make the Doom 3 engine look like it was the Quake 3 engine of 1999!! Hats of to Cliffy B and the boys and girls at Epic in making such a fine engine. I am really looking forward to UT2007 if something can run this good on a xbox 360!!

I would like to thank J.Z. for letting me borrow his XBOX 360 to pound this baby out and I really wish he could've had the day off to pound this baby out with me, but shit happens and we just got to do what we got to do to support our gaming habits. It was awesome to see him hand me his 360 in a Gears Of War case that just looks fantastic. I am sure he enjoyed seeing me like a kid just like my wife Medusa does:) Once again thanks J.Z.!! On with the review....

I was skeptic about the enemy A.I. from the videos but let me assure you that it was just awesome ( I hate to admit this, but I got bitch slapped by a saw in the hands of a locust) what was actually weak was my team A.I.?? If I had a dollar for every time someone shot me or someone got in the line of fire I would have the new Nvidia G80 card and some change left! The other thing that concerned my about the game was if I was going to get bored doing the same stuff over and over but they really did spice things up really nicely to keep your attention throughout the whole game! Did I say how gorgeous the Unreal 3 engine is????

Pros
1. Graphics have set a new standard just like it was promised. I can see why so many game makers have embraced this new engine.
2. Music is very nice and fits great
3. The controls are unique and will take a little to get used too but I just love the reloading "little game" what a difference this makes in a serious battle
4. The smack talking from my comrades made me have a flashback playing J.B. in Quake 4:)
5. It has met most of the hype hands down but it is NOT the Halo killer that was predicted but it is reaaalllllyyy close though
6. The creatures are unique and the bosses look great
7. The ending boss was just awesome and challenging!!
8. Pace of the game was just right
9. Have I mentioned how f@#king beautiful this game looks??
10. Ending credits were done just awesome.. Tim Sweeney said " thanks to Heaven for the weather and Hell for my friends" ROFL
11. Nice frame rate through the game
12. Medusa actually sat down and watch me play this so that says a lot about this game. There was some spooky and scary parts that scared us both at the same time. (You can see how much Cliffy B was inspired by Resident Evil 4)

Cons

1. Controls are unique and will take sometime to get used too!
2. Story has a lot of gaps to fill (can you say sequel)
3. Not on PC yet!!
4. I really don't have the desire to "play" the game again but I would go through some parts just so I can admire the engine more
5. Got to wait for the next one:(
6. This game makes the XBOX 360 sound like a blender (it is really pushing the machine and that is WITH the inter cooler attached)
7. Team A.I. needed some more tweaking


I was very happy with the game and it was really nice to play on my big widescreen tv. I am very impressed with the XBOX 360 but I got to pay around $700.00 for my new graphic card so I can play F.E.A.R. 75% faster!!! In case someone is wondering.. I really did enjoy PREY better than this game!!!

Emergence Day is approaching quickly!!

Hello fellow Locust killers,
We are very close to Emergence Day and I am really looking forward to the event! I admit that I am still a little skeptical about the A.I. on Gears Of War but I really can't wait to see Unreal 3 engine in action! J.Z. will be bringing his XBOX 360 over and we will be cranking this out Wed/Thur! We were a little worried about if we were going to be able to play Co-op via split screen on 1 system and that question has been answered by a resounding YES WE ARE ALL Good To Go!! How do I know this you ask?? It is very simple when they already have the Strategy Guide out before the game:)
