Review: Advent Rising

Hello fellow gamers,
I picked up this game for twenty bucks and started knocking it out and I was really enjoying the game.. I started telling DeathofU and my wife how it was just what I needed to get my Sci-Fi fix! I had to go to work so all I was thinking about was to get this "gem" finished. I got home and the game just went to total crap the last 2 chapters of the game. I was really disappointed, and can't believe they shipped it out like that? No wonder Majesco is back publishing smaller games instead of "AAA" titles that can't even make a grade of C. I am a sucker for Sci-fi "B" movies but never did I thought that B meant BROKEN!!!

Pros
1. I liked the weapons and how they shot out the ammo
2. Having "Force" powers gave me a fix until the Sith rise again!
3. I liked the color scheme of the game
4. The creatures were nice looking
5. The first 4 chapters was a blast to play
6. Running over enemies with the "Warthog" brought back my Halo days

Cons
1. Really needed to have Quick save
2. Just like Halo, some of the areas look so much alike it was hard to tell if you been there or not
3. The last 2 chapters are a broken P.O.S. that just gave me a bad taste
4. Q.A. did not do their job very well and there is no way someone who cares about what they do could look themselves in the mirror shipping this game out like this.. I know I couldn't sleep at night knowing I left the 2 last chapters a broken mess!
5. I have never seen so many cutscenes in my life..
6. Sometimes the humor is misplaced in this game when it should be serious
7. I really thought I wasn't going to be able to finish the game since a bug in the game wouldn't let me jump 2 feet in the air to climb a cliff. Nothing like seeing your allies jump 20 feet in the air and waiting for ya:(
8. The only reason I finished this game was to see how it ended and if I knew it was going to end like it did I wouldn't of bothered!!


wait until it is 10 dollars and play the first 4 chapters
