I am ready for Quad Core

Hello fellow gamers,
I just saw an incredible video of the game Alan Wake. Remedy who was responsible for the Max Payne series was showing off this game at IDF. The game was running on a Falcon Northwest and the engine is just freaking amazing. I am willing to say that it can give Unreal 3 a run for the money, but what made this presentation so incredible is the fact that it was running on a new Intel Quad Core processor with one "core" strictly for physics which in turn will make the ageia physics card obsolete. Intel is going to be releasing Quad core sometime in November and it looks like it is going to be 70% more powerful over the dual core. I personally think that alone is amazing in itself and I am looking forward to my new rig with that baby in it:) I wonder with the G80 and Quad core what Vista would rate my ass then??

Out of all the years I have been gaming NEVER have I seen the gaming sector so boring! Even with the new consoles coming from Sony and Nintendo it still is blah:( Since Microsoft f@#$ed up with Vista no one is going to be buying anything new until the new OS is out so you will see a huge discounting 4th quarter for PC's. Here are the games that I have in my crosshair!

Of the 30 games promised by year's end, Kaplan says about half of those will be available at launch. Sounds like Zelda, Excite Truck, and Wii Sports are the only first-party ones, though. While first-party games are indeed $50 and under, third parties are--not surprisingly--free to set their own pricing on upcoming games.

Just wanted to shatter DeathofU's hope of the $199.99 price tag he was hoping but IMHO I think including the sports pack really puts the console at that price since it is bundled with it. Nintendo is looking to clean house against Sony by having over 4 million consoles through the holidays. I am very impressed with Nintendo as long as Zelda is there for the holidays as they are still saying. Mario will not make an appearance until sometime in 2007. November 19th is the launch day so let us know what you think of it:)

Hello fellow Nvidiots,
I finally caught wind on the new beast that Nvidia is making in the laboratory and the rumor going around is that it is a monster indeed. With all this SLI stuff going around and those core speeds up to ludicrous speed I have yet ever heard of anyone needing an external power supply for the cards (until now that is). Word on the street is that the G80 will come with an external power supply to feed this Frankenstein monster! If this becomes reality and is not a rumor then this baby is going to be one serious graphic card and I can only imagine the benchmarks with this baby. I actually think it is a great idea to have an external power supply feeding the card cause it's not like your desktop is going anywhere right? Save your internal power supply for everything else and plugging this in an outlet is a helluva lot easier than sticking a new PSU that you hope will take it! I can see 1000 fps on Solitaire boys!! Since I made Medusa happy with her Bejeweled game I am sure she would want me to have this and make me happy for Crysis and UT2007:)

Review: F.E.A.R. Extraction Point demo

Hello fellow offspring of Alma,
PC gamer had this as a demo this month which I thought was really cool since it is actually becoming available later today. I went through the demo before I headed off to work and what I have seen so far it is going to be on par with the action of the main game. I still can't get over how incredible the A.I. is in this game. I would really like to see different enviroments because they are kinda blah until you destroy everything with the mini gun:) I am really looking forward to Oct. 24 and my review will be later that night on what I thought of this expansion pack so stay tuned. I almost forgot to point out something that bothers me.. they should have 16x10 widescreen as a choice as well as 1920x1200.

Retro Review: Contract Jack

Hello fellow J.A.C.K.'s,

Wow, it is just amazing how far Monolith has come with A.I. with the game F.E.A.R. compared to this one. I was expecting the "magic" that was in No One Lives Forever 2 but sadly the lipstick comedy has been deleted and replaced with a more serious game. In this game you just kill, kill, kill and most of the story is told through the 2 way radio and there are hardly any cutscenes in the game. I have become used to Monolith having anywhere between 10-14 chapters in their games and this one had only 7! I was really shocked to see the credits roll to say the least but I feel the game is worth playing just for the space part in the game. The laser rifle is just cool to use and floating in space shooting enemies while your getting closer to the sun was an awesome experience!

Pros
1. The space part was just awesome
2. Graphics and audio are good
3. The game is a quickie
4. Laser rifle is just awesome
5. The ending boss was fun


Cons

2. A.I. is really bad.. hear someone yelling get ready cause there coming your way!! Reload and KILL, repeat!!

Speculation on the WII release have surfaced

The price will not disappoint. The date will not disappoint. The games will not disappoint, obviously. What comes in the box might disappoint a few of you, though. Nintendo is going to pack in the console itself of course, with two Wii remotes and two nunchuck attachments. As far as my source knows though, you won't be getting the classic controller packed in. Nintendo will also be deciding on the 13th, the day before the conference in other words, whether or not to add an SD memory card to the list of things included in the box.

To make up for the lack of the classic controller at launch, Nintendo is planning to pack in Wii Sports. The whole point behind the Wii is to get everyone in the family interested in gaming. Nintendo figures that two Wii remote and nunchuck controllers and Wii Sports will be an immediate hook for the audience they're aiming for. Many people remember those NES sports games as some of their favorite NES games. (RBI Baseball, anyone?) Nintendo is hoping to snag older fans back with this Wii Sports title. They're also hoping that older non-gamers (specifically, the parents that had kids that played games during the NES era) see the ease of the controller, remember that their kids played the NES versions, and gain an interest in Wii Sports themselves.

If you don't believe me now, you will in six days. So sit back, play your Gamecube for a few final memories before you pack it away and replace it with the Wii, and be ready for the 14th. You'll all be very happy.

First thing Lord Natas I have to agree with you on your post Thursday. But I feel consoles will always have a home for the young who do not have the funds to dish out several thousands dollars for a gaming PC. Lord Natas $600 for a Video Card or $600 for PS3 gaming machine $400 for a 360 . Young people will go with the consoles I feel . Well see when Vista comes out and puts another wrench into PC gaming if this will increase Console sales and hurt PC gaming.

Valve/HL2 episode 2 movies galore: Hey, I thought these episodes were coming in a 3 month time instead of 6+?? Valve instead of showing me what I am going to play how about letting me play instead!! It has been so long since I played Episode 1 I cant remember how it ended WTF!!!

PS3: Who is really a dumb ass to fork $600.00 for this thing and have the same games to play like the 360?? Is it just me or do you see the armor rusting at Sony?

Windows Vista: Simply put.. you must be a relative of the crocodile hunter if you upgrade to this thing next year! Welcome to the next gen of crashing!!!!

Review: Company Of Heroes Demo

Hello fellow gamers,
I can't believe how awesome this demo is and if the game is like this all the way through it will have to be another contender for game of the year! I have been wanting to branch out and to try the RTS genre but I have two things going against me.. I am a noob and a dumbass and it is easy to get frustrated because I have no idea what the hell to do! This game "guides" you through the missions and is just an incredible experience. Hey this demo is 1.7 gig and it would be worth the wait even if I was a 56k modem boy. That statement right there should tell you to stop reading this and download this sucker! Storming Normandy on D-Day and being excited even without a crosshair says a lot about this gem!!!!!!!!
I feel very confident that I can say congrats to Relic and THQ for a great job done on a game that closes the gap between twitch fraggers and the Click Einsteins!
oh and btw the graphics and sound are just amazing!!

I hope that some of our readers remember the Gong show that used to be on T.V. where acts would go on the show and if they sucked the judges would bash on a big gong and your fifteen minutes of fame was over! Well, in honor of that show here is my list of games I have"played" this year that I would hit the gong so hard that it would come off its stand... this list is not rated on suckness it just means they just plain suck!

Will Rock- Picked it up for 98 cents and still not worth it! Nothing like having no quick save when dodging huge blades, enemies attacking you and throwing weapons at you!! Saber is making the game Timeshift which if you don't remember I called the game TimeShit in my review of the demo. I hope giving them time to really make a game pays off for VU!!

Terra Wars: NY Invasion- I am a sucker for Sci-fi stuff but I can only steep so low.. and this is the bottom of the barrel. I at least got a chuckle when I was introduced to a hot chick that survived the alien attack for 4 days on her own and now she needs backup?? I decided to explore the enviroment after killing a wave of enemies and got killed by using an elevator to amuse myself? The best laugh came when the game crashed to my desktop.. it must be to powerful of a graphic engine for my Alienware so uninstall it went:)

With X-mas right around the corner (Yikes) I am sure you will see more comments from me on coasters that I just couldn't finish even if ya paid me!! (how much ya offering???)
