REVIEW: PROJECT SNOWBLIND

Hello fellow gamers,
Just got done with this game and overall I really liked it. This is the first F.P.S. that Crystal Dynamics have made and it is a real good start in the right direction. Crystal Dynamics are more known for the Legacy Of Kain series which genre is action/adventure. Eidos wanted this game to follow side by side with Deus Ex Invisible War but since most people did not play or buy that game (which by the way I really loved that game) they decided to seperate the link between them. Project Snowblind has an interesting story which is a little on the cliche side but was still interesting. The games title fits since your are "snowblinded" whenever some enemy uses an EMP (electro magnetic pulse) grenade on you, your vision becomes fuzzy and is a neat effect! Sometimes the sound would cut out on the game when loading a FMV. This was a little irritating to say the least, but was easily remedied by just going out of the game and going back in. I would recommend putting on the subtitles just in case it happens to you. It might also be because I am running the X-FI sound card also. I liked this game and recommend it to people who love Deus Ex or anything that deals with Bio Mods. The graphics of the game are adequate and one of the coolest effects is when you use the fletchette gun! This is a classic "B" title that has a very appealing price of $15.00 for some good entertainment.

Pros

1. I loved the BioMods that were in the game and love the sci-fi atmosphere
2. The game is nothing but action, action, and more action!
3. The characters are pretty cool but are on the cliche side
4. Crystal Dynamics really tried something new with multiplay such as clan tags etc.
5. The railgun is a blast to take out enemies with
6. You will get some twitch fragging in:)
7. A really nice variety of weapons!!

Cons

1. Glitch in the audio put a damper on the overall game
2. Multiplayer is really not that fun ( I was able to find only one server playing)
3. Crytal Dynamics need to have the save anywhere feature instead of looking for a save room! I HATE NOT BEING ABLE TO SAVE ANYWHERE, ANYTIME!!!!
4. The graphics will not win any awards, but who cares right?
